Poll Which life do you prefer? Practically unlimited riches with zero privacy, or an average uninspiring life? (19 votes)

Practically unlimited riches with no privacy 53%
Average uninspiring life 47%

Practically unlimited riches with no privacy: Wealthy enough to own AND maintain a big house enough for up to a family of 20 (e.g.: 1 husband, four wives, 8 children, 2 parents and 5 parents-in-law). Also wealthy enough to travel around the world once a month, enjoy decent 3 meals/day for up to 20 people in the family and no need to work beyond maintaining the investment funds that is giving you the money to afford this life. The price to pay for this is the your (almost) complete lack of privacy. A little like what was seen in the Truman Show film, WITH your knowledge. With the EXCEPTION of showering and toilet activities, your entire life of every minute and second will be displayed before a watching audience. Your sexual activities on the other hand, will be sold as sex tapes/online pornographic films (no minors in the audience thankfully).

Average uninspiring life: As in, just a normal life in a way that vast majority of people don't pay any attention to you, and you need to work hard just like everyone else in order to have a next to decent life. You represent the typical 80% of humanity in other words.

Between these two choices, which would you rather have? Discuss

@theinsufferable: what's wrong with the Kardashians? Never watched their show so I have no idea.

Also, this is something even more than a typical "reality show". At least the Kardashian's onscreen lives are (sort of) scripted. This poll's hypothetical scenario is about an audience being able to tune in to see your unfiltered lives, almost every minute of it.

I already said normal life. Are you trying to even further convince me of my choice?

@theinsufferable: nothing. I am just pointing out that it would be an understatement to say the hypothetical scenario is like that of the Kardashians

Coin toss really.

I wouldn’t mind either one.

80 percents of second option - working a normal job with no attention and big pressure on it, without being famous - and 20 percents of first option - I don't like what "normal people" do outside their careers and the way they think. I have always being fascinated by unknown people with normal jobs and lives at first glance that fulfil their free time and interests outside of the society's approval and comprehension of "normal".

the shortened version - "feck the celebreties" and "feck the "normal" people", just be yourself.

If we we're talking riches like that described in the OP, then no. I think I'm gonna make boatloads of cash if I work hard, anyway, and my family can take care of themselves.

If we're talking the unlimited riches of someone like Bill Gates or Warren Buffet, then yes.

I already have no privacy because you people apparently have my ip address or something and can see everything I go to on the internet and you guys seem to think it's a good idea to tell everyone about it.

Don't say that because they'll know you're suspicious and having a functioning brain, and they don't want that.

Shoot, now they're on to me.
