When you getting old and nearly death, would you give all your Legacy to your child or the person that treats you better?

I refuse to ever have children, so the latter is the only option.

If I ever have children then I'd probably split things up.

If I had a good relationship with my children overall then they trump some guy I just met a few years ago.

You can leave it all to me.

Seems kinda wrong to give an inheritance to someone who isn't related to you so kids.

I rather spend it all since this world doesn't give a shit about me. They don't help me and I am not going to help them in return. Unless its my parents (If I die before them)

Well in that case yeah I'd probably give it to the person who was more suitable.

Give all.... you know.. you can divide up your assets... Its not like its an 'All or Nothing' thing.

Ima gonna bury all my treasures on some secluded area, rig the place up with booby traps, and I will hand them up some partial pieces of the treasure maps.

And i let them figure out what they should do next.

Family comes first, I think. Unless my child is so horrible they'd murder me for cash, my assets will probaly be left to the closest of kin.

@ccthor: Depends on what you value as 'more'. I value sentimental things more then monetary value and it depends on who needs what. Does my family need my old house? Does the kid? Who would value it more and who needs it more? Which needs X and Y.

This is why people divide up their assets when they die. As I am not old and about to die and have not fully cataloged my assets, that is a rather silly thing to ask me, no?

If it becomes applicable, in my case, I'd probably will my material wealth or possessions to my surviving family and children and my money to my church, as my final tithing to God on this earth, or something similar.
