Studio Ghibli Movies (except Grave of the Fireflies) because of the rustic art-style particularly Kiki's Delivery Service and From Up the Poppy Hill because the place and instances feel very familiar.

Coraline and A Nightmare Before Christmas for the same reasons,

Eraserhead, Pan's Labyrinth, and Jacobs Ladder.

Any good looking period movies (like Gangs of New York).

Basically anything with excellent art-style and cinematography.

Anything else... i guess Home Alone 1 and 2.

The Transformers Animated movie from the 80's. I have seen that more times than any of the Michael Bay Transformer movies combined.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (american version, undeniably better than the swedish version)

I remember having watched The Rundown/Welcome to the Jungle an absurd amount of times when I was younger but I haven't watched it in years and I don't even know if it is actually a good movie as seen through my now adult eyes.

ever see Spirited Away/my neighbor totoro? both really well done (same style) by ghibli

Pan's labyrinth was good also

for me, it's simple. Old school Bond movies, Big trouble in little China & pretty much anything directed by Mel Brooks
