Just finished watching Bong Joon-ho's "Parasite"
The hype surrounding this film is too much, hearing people rave about it, calling it a masterpiece, movie of the year, even film of the decade. With all that praise, I expected it to be on par with films (in terms of storytelling, acting, script etc) like The Godfather, Pulp Fiction or Park Chan-wook's Oldboy, but no, it didn't even came close. But still it was a very entertaining movie, people only overrate it.
My score: 7/10
I just saw Terminator: Dark Fate last night. I think it was a solid 4/10, but it wasn't horrible, maybe it was just bad.
There was a huge glaring plothole at the end of the film that just made the whole movie's time travel aspect go wrong. Grace, the female augmented human, backstory as a child from flashbacks of the future show a shitty post apocolyptic setting, when at the end of the movie she does not live in that setting, but in a peaceful setting with her real parents, thus she would have never became an augmented human or discovered the person who sent her to the past... Ugh. So... yeah, maybe the movie was even worse than bad, and I might be giving a bit of credit for it (when I shouldn't be) anyways. Well, it's all philosophical movie reviewing at this point, IMO. But the action scenes were good! I have some new battle forum feats to use now, lol.
If anyone wants me to go into detail about what I saw, and what I didn't like/dislike, then please PM me or ask me to expand in this thread.
