Ride Along
What is the last movie you have seen?
Theater: Justice League - I enjoyed it.
At home: The Purge: Election Year- Surprisingly really good. I actually think this is one of those rare movie series where each movie got better with the sequels.
It was good but I couldn't help but feel disappointed given the hype and the fact that I relate to the story being in a mixed marriage myself. Kumail was funny but has been funnier in other movies with much smaller roles and one of leads is unconscious for much of it. Ray Romano was surprisingly good though and Holly Hunter too (less surprising). Like I said, good just not as good as I expected.
In theater: Justice League
At home: Some hallmark channel Christmas movie, the names are all so similar I don't remember it.
Kind of on the fence about this one. There's a twist reveal toward the end and I wished they'd ended the movie there but then it keeps going... The Shallows comparison is hard to get past, they even set it in the same country and it's simply not as compelling as a whole.
TLJ.
The Last Jedi - I enjoyed it. Will see it again. Definitely one of the more divisive Star Wars movies. Which is saying something. Most of the non-original movies are divisive (actually, so is RotJ).

It’s been a good week for me.
Theaters today: The Last Jedi. Star Wars is a Christmas tradition.
Rented DVD's from the video store (I still love going to video stores):
Dunkirk: As good as I thought it was going to be.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets: All in all just an awful movie. Visually very beautiful but that was it. Dialogue was terrible. The story was all over the place. The two main characters had worse chemistry than Padme and Anakin.
Atomic Blonde: Brilliant. Highly suggest this one. Great action. Great characters.
