Seriously ever since Call of Duty 4 was released I haven't seen a single Xbox 360 game with Split Screen(besides Halo ODST). This saddens me greatly as I'm a huge fan of playing with friends and family on my TV. It's good with only 4 people on non online multiplayer(although some games don't even allow that), but I like playing online more due to the larger amount of opponents. Now, not all is lost for Split Screen Nintendo seems to still be quite a fan and most of it's multiplayer games have Split Screen. I think some PS3 games keep it as well(not sure I don't own a PS3). But for the most first person shooters, it's gone and doesn't show any signs of coming back.
Anyway else saddened by the disappearance of Split Screen from First Person Shooters?
What in the world ever happened to Split Screen?

I have now rectified the problem
All games on all consoles can now be played in split screen by at least 6 players
Split screen mostly disappeared because online multiplayer became a thing, plus it encouraged people to buy copies of it so they could play with their friends.
That and spilt screen was always a excuse for cheating, lol

How?
@catlike: Cuz you'd look at their screen by accident and cheat in the process
@professorrespect: Ohhhh, alright thanks.
