What if Terminator 2 actually ended like this?

T3 makes me shudder. Everything after the TX arrival scene is a steady and steep downhill adventure.

No one in fiction is allowed to have a happy ending!

T3, IMHO, wasn't that terrible...But I agree that it might've never happened if they went that ending. Hell, Salvation might not have happened, either, if they went with that ending.

Considering that everything that came after T2 has been abject awfulness, the series should have ended there.

Had this had been the ending, we all would have been satisfied, there actually would be a pretty happy ending, there would probably be fewer paradoxes and T3, Salvation, and Genisys wouldn't exist. So, yes, I approve.
