Rather be able to breathe underwater.

There would have to be oxygen for us to breathe in space. Otherwise, we'd be breathing nothing. I'd rather breathe underwater and survive it's crushing pressure.

I guess you mean survive in space ? Well, if we had some form of sub light speed flight that could move us around while we travel through space that could be pretty cool.

Then we would only die due to the extreme cold and vacuumed that will cause are blood to boil as we die a painful death. We will be able to breath while that is happening though.

@supermanthor:

We would all have floating houses around in space. We would eat comet sandwiches and drink space juice freshly squeezed from ....space. We would play zero G games and Silver Surfer would come to check on us.

Someone would set up a vape shop on the moon.

Oxygen isn't the only problem though.

@iron_tiger: the sea is a real dangerous place

I second that. There's still shit down there nobodies ever even seen before.

If I could also withstand the vacuum, the cold, the radiation & lack of food & water unless I can eat space ice or something then it'd be pretty cool, I'd just float off & live in space for the rest of my natural life like Bender in that one episode of Futurama.

@dr_shenanigans: I heard humans only aware about 3 % species from the sea

We've only explored less than 5% of it so that wouldn't surprise me one bit.

You'd still need a lot of gear in space to protect you from the cold and the high velocity space dust.

@supermanthor: I forget what I was watching but it was a Kayaker in Florida apparently filmed some sort of sea serpent coil around a manatee & pull it under. Screw that shit!

Yeah I'd imagine so, I remember them saying 5% when I was little like 25 years ago but it's still gotta be less then 9%.

@dr_shenanigans: There's a "Type D" Orca recently discovered, as well as the skeleton of an 85ft Blue Whale, but other than that, no idea.

@supermanthor: well breathing in space won't be enough. We need to survive immense cold,vacuum and radiation to truly enjoy space
