What genre of video game make the best boss fights

If Dark Souls counts as an ARPG, then I vote for that.

MMORPG because many WoW raids are fun as hell for their bosses.

RPG's without a doubt, especially Dark Souls

Probably fall under ARPG category.

Voted for shooters but my favourite boss battles tend to occur in horror games. There's an extra layer of fulfillment added when you have to face a truly frightening opponent.

Isometric. Only games I really felt like I had to plan out my fights, build my character right, and in games like fallout 2, pray for a critical.

Dark Souls isn't 'hard'. It's just tedious. You can always grind your way to victory. Want hard? Play Resistance: Fall of Man on Normal and wonder what is going on. Play it on hard and regret your life decisions. Play it on superhuman and cry. And that is a /shooting/ game.

ARPG because Monster Hunter.
