1.What do you mean be realistic ?
2.What do you mean by Horror ?

IMO, these two forces fight against one another.

Well maybe not the graphics but Scream because i hate screaming into the T.V when the people do something completely stupid and in this movie it was like they were actually aware of what not to do and the killer is a serial killer not no ghost or something unrealistic.

@Edamame: Well none of the killers in these movies (especially the one about the guy who inspired the Texas Chainsaw Massacre) have no powers, they're just guys who've lost their minds and have people with them who happened to lose their minds as well.

@Edamame:  I'll give you a summary of each (although I've never actually seen any of them).

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original or re-make) is about a group of kids traveling along the Texas countryside when they pick up a hitchhiker (depending on which version it is, the hitchhiker is Leather face's brother in the original, and a girl in the new). Any how, the hitchhiker does something to get the kids to go for help inside of the murderer's house. From there, they're hunted down, some are slaughtered, then eaten. If I'm right, only one person lives in the story.

Psycho is about a mad-man who owns a hotel, and , as one could guess, he kills his victims from there.

The one about the guy who inspired TCM was based off of a true story about an actual madman.

and Last House on the Left (either version) involves a group of killers who rape and kill one of the two girls. She makes it back to her house where she tells her folks what happened. From there, I believe that the parents get their revenge.

Some one please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, a heart attack in your sleep caused by a bad dream. It's like the pokemon Gengar used Dream Eater on you, and you die.

I know. Don't you find them in your backyard, and sometimes in people's pools?

You're pretty much right about all of it. However, the guy who inspired Texas chainsaw massacre, Ed Gein, is also the inspiration for, amongst others, Norman Bates and the Buffalo Bill character from silence of the lambs.

@Edamame:  well since childhood i was able to "sense" the presence of certain entities.. i have some unexplainable experiences that should surely make some eyebrows rise, but it really did happened.. i for one believe in the presence of the paranormal.. the problem with us humans is we are too logical.. something happens and we try in our best efforts to explain it in a logical point of view.. sometimes, try to put your defenses down, feel the mass of energies surrounding you.. then maybe just maybe, "IT" would make their presence known to you..

@lord_oraculous016:  I agree with that...we always try to find some way to put logic into something we can't explain...and when we can't find the answer we call it a "mystery"...I have encountered many apparitions in my lifetime and I also have precognition...I sometimes feel things before they happen or I think something is going top happen and it does....Sometimes I see spirits roaming around my house some dark and some light....but I don"t fear them...

Some movies that seem realistic to me are....

  1. The Skeleton Key- I live in new Orleans and I can tell you that Voo Doo and Hoo Doo are very much real...I've seen cases of these practices, but I don't dwell within these two...Voo Doo is a religion where else Hoo Doo is "Magik".....
  2. The Last House on the Left- This movie seems more realistic in a sense of human nature...Its in our nature to seek out revenge...some take it to extreme measures...Its possible that people would hurt those who have hurt them as they did in the movie....an eye for an eye....
  3. Psycho- There are a lot of sick people in this world...Its possible that a man, who has went through a lot in his childhood, can grow up to be a psychopath and a schizo....
