What are some of the best lies you've ever told?

So back in 5th grade I decided to start playing hooky & after the 3rd time a truancy officer tracked me down & the school called my mother at work but only told her about that 1 time so I just told her I was late & started running when I heard the bell & didn't know I had diarrhea & while I was running I accidentally shit my pants so I had to walk back home to change & it totally got me off the hook.

But many years ago, i tried to fake my own death and it was convincing enough to make my dog cry.

I convinced an ex that it was for the best we went separate ways.

I use to 'make out' with the females at my job in my office. They always worried about people walking in and I told them not to worry. They then would respond if I have done this before with others. I denied it every time

my sister has told me many lies when i was a kid, she told be girls master bait with their armpits and also she told me black slavery happened because african tribes lost a bet and that Bush cause 9/11

she would also lock me in a dark room and say chucky from the childs play movies was gonna get me

Kinda thought this too. Definitely wouldn't use the word "best" to describe any of them.

I convinced my entire form at college(UK) and some others at secondary school that i was the leader of a notorious London street gang, Gas Gang.

This week my manager asked what my availability will be since he still thinks I’m in college.

I told him I’d be available afternoons from Sunday until Wednesday, but he asked me to bring my schedule for proof.

I panicked but later I found an old schedule and after some tinkering I showed it to him yesterday and he said thanks.
