Was Jackie & Jaden's Karate Kid an instant classic?

I completely forgot this movie was even made tbh.

Well it was better than I thought it would be. But lol no it isn't a classic.

Do you remember what their reason for not going with "The Kung Fu Kid" was? I remember they were considering it but for some reason went with Karate Kid despite the fact he was doing Kung Fu.

I'd guess it was for marketing purposes. The original Karate Kid is what people would remember when seeing the title.

It was good, but not a classic.

Oh yeah, the Karate Kid movie were they were explicitely not doing karate, and in fact the kid lost at the start because he was trying to use karate. How could I forget that?
