Warriors of History Popularity Contest

Welcome adventures,

this is a new tournament of soldiers in our long history with one ultimate victor. This will not be only about general types of warriors, but also about specific regiments, battalions, legions etc. I will tag everyone who asks or comments on the fight. There will be only warriors with some historical basis. So lets start!

The first match will be range units!

The English Longbowmen May the God be with them!

Persian Archers! They will block out the sun!

I'd give it to the Englishmen for superior range.

Mongol horse archers and Seljuk Horse archers deserve a spot IMO.

Can you tag someone? I dont know that many people who might like this.

I play on doing Zulu, Native Americans, Maori and such type of warriors in mid of the tournament. But I would really want to find more people to vote.

True, this is about who do you like more. It's obvious that English Longbowmen would probably decimate Persians via superior range and penetration.

That's tough I almost want to vote for the Medjay for the fact you used a pic from The Mummy but my vote is for The Varangian Guard.

My Mummy bias is strong, but so is my Byzantine bias.

Definitely the Varangian Guard. A hardcore mix of Nordic warriors and Roman warfare traditions. Pretty hard to beat that.
