I think I might have said this already, but Hal Jordan isn't a character. He is complication of cool moments. The only time he had any characterization worth a damn was the beginning of GL Lantern Volume 3 which died out in like 9 issues, and his time as The Spectre. Beyond that's he's essentially a Summer Blockbuster in characters form. He's what writers use when they want a kickass display of will; when they want the "he won't go down" moments.

@yassassin: I wouldn't go that far, but that's certainly what he is 90%+ of the time, give or take a token "my dad died like almost every other superhero out there!" moment.

But then I re-read Secret Origin or New Frontier or Tom King's one-shot and I'm like, "Man, that's a character I'd like to read about. If only he appeared frequently."

If nothing else, I'm pretty sure "The Justice League's Resident Overconfident Jackass" is an established character trait for him now.

Another unpopular opinion: Bashar al-Assad is also better than the alternative, and necessary for a stable syria, which is also bringing stability to the Middle East.

Difference is, 90% of current terrorist organizations appeared after the fall of Saddam Hussein and Baathist party. Not only that, the Syrian people themselves rebelled against Al-Assad, western powers had nothing to do with it.

Batman Forever is a early 90s bright neon McDonald's toy acid trip... Batman & Robin is a heaping pile of garbage.

Basically Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones >>>>>>> Uma Thurman and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Breath of the Wild wasn't that good. I found the act of exploring to be extremely boring. Not because the world was empty, but because a lot of the content wasn't meaningful. The shrines were extremely easy, and the guardian ones were all pretty much identical. The quest were generic, and the act of climbing a tall mountain just lift a work for a korok seed isn't my definition of engaging content.

It didn't help that the enemy diversity wasn't that great. You basically fight the same 5 enemies, and then you have the shiny & skeleton versions of each. There weren't even unique mini-bosses (except for the desert, which had a bunch of modulgas). After awhile, exploring just became point-less and felt like busy work. The quest didn't weren't very rewarding (for the most part), and I didn't even bother with a majority of the enemy encounters due to how stale they had gotten (plus I'd just be wasting resources for a chest that only contains 10 arrows).

The divine beast were pretty lame, and repetitive. Meet person, taking out three or 4 things on the divine beast, enter divine beast, find 4 terminals, activate terminal, and fight extremely easy boss.

I have a lot of other problems with the game, but those are just a few.

God's gender is ambiguous.

The Bible's creation is a direct representation of our patriarchal society, mainly because it's written by men. It basically states that God is a man because men say so (insinuating that they know better). It's bullshit, because no one has ever seen God nor does anyone know God. For all we know, God could be either man or woman, both, or have no gender at all.

The Wolf of Wall Street is the most boring movie I've ever sat through. It entirely devotes 2 hours to sex and drug scenes. We get it, the guy leads a debaucherous life. If that's all that is going on in his life then fine, but feel free to half the ridiculous 3 hour run time. Additionally, it's sense of humour is nothing like mine. While I admit that is just a question of taste and doesn't necessarily make the movie bad, it adds to just how dull an experience the thing is for me. What's more annoying is that everyone I know thinks it's great and act like I'm just being a contrarian by hating on it. No, it sucks. Grrrr.

Yes. Many people are too agreeable, close-minded, and unable to think for themselves. It has a lot do with what people are conditioned to believe throughout life. The minute someone pops up with something different to say, the conditioned ones feel challenged. Threatened. It's crazy.

I once told people that Jean Claude Van Damme (who actually fought competitively as full-contact kickboxer, with 18 wins and 1 disqualification) was better than Bruce Lee (who has no verifiable fight record outside of some questionable eyewitness accounts of being challenged by no-names and his well-documented fight with Wong Jack Man) and that Van Damme could actually beat him in a real fight with some difficulty. I was berated, called everything under the sun. People were mad. LOL.

I feel the tone of the story isn’t quite serious enough for the subject matter. It really breaks my immersion into the story at times. I know it has great moments and the characters and writing were really quite impressive, but I’m still just not a fan. Also, there’s like dozens of small nit picky things about the world and mechanics that I felt were annoying, which have nothing to do with the show‘s quality, but I’m one of those guys that obsesses over details.
