1984: we're turning into a caliphate and you can't say anything about it edition

It's really sad to see what the UK has become. A nation where people are arrested for ideas, terrorism is considered "part and parcel" of living in a big city, the native population is getting replaced and crimes are going ignored because the perpretrators are foreigners. Is there any salvation at all for the british?

Yes I agree, also rather stupid for the Mayor to have said that when Tokyo is the most populous city in the world with little to no terrorist attacks.

Is there any salvation at all for the british?

Not really, we're all screwed. This bleak outcome is something I've come to terms with a while back and my pessimistic attitude has been a part of my character for years at this point.

The UK is basically londinistan now. London is a third world shithole where you can be shot or ran over by a truck of peace at any time and the government isn't doing anything abut it

What a stupid idea. The fact the UK government would rather try and punish people for what they view and think rather than addressing the root causes of terrorism, mostly jihadism at that, says a lot about the state of the UK. Though the native population being 'replaced' isn't really the problem, it's the ideology of those who refuse to properly integrate that's the main issue.

Brittany Pettibone and Martin Sellner were detained by the police and banned from the UK before they could give a speech the other day.

You know, Brittany Pettibone, the anti-christ.

What happened to the people involved with Rotherham again??

The UK government are a bunch of pathetic little shits lmao, jailing people for wrongthink. 1984 wasn't supposed to be a guidebook.

Also terrorist/far right material in UK counts as teaching a pug to make Nazi salutes as a joke and viewing /pol/

Keep in mid these changes would 100% be abused. Like I bet not one AntiFa supporter would be locked up because of this, but guys who browse sits like /pol/ probably would be

It’s weird to think that just a couple hundred years back, Britain was the birthplace of liberalism.

Rudd also caused some consternation at the fringe meeting by criticising the tech industry for their “patronising” attitude that “sneered” at politicians who did not always get it right. She claimed it was not necessary for her to understand how end-to-end encryption worked to know that it was helping criminals.

Asked by an audience member if she understood how end-to-end encryption actually worked, she said: “It’s so easy to be patronised in this business. We will do our best to understand it. We will take advice from other people. But I do feel that there is a sea of criticism for any of us who try and legislate in new areas, who will automatically be sneered at and laughed at for not getting it right. I don’t need to understand how encryption works to understand how it’s helping the criminals,” she went on. “I will engage with the security services to find the best way to combat that.”

Britain has some top quality politicians.

Actually, the (current) environment in Britain is because of liberalism; it just simply wouldn't make any sense at all thinking the other way around; the environment is very clearly and obviously an attempt to extricate the country and culture from its Christian roots and foundations (e.g. honestly, a place that gave birth to Richard Dawkins is suddenly anti-liberal or right wing, is that what you're saying?). After looking at a couple of videos about this it appears aimed at the population there considered right wing more than anything else (e.g. and right wing may have been adjusted to encompass the people with Christian values more than anything else; basically, it seems to have gone from the encroachment phase or a very advanced encroachment phase upon Christianity to getting dangerously to an environment that's just a step or two away from an all out active persecution of Christianity in the name of liberalism).

@dshipp17: By liberalism, I meant it in the classical sense - laissez-faire, personal freedoms, limited government, and the whole shebang, not the insanity that is progressivism and modern liberalism, an ideology that replaced laissez-faire with socialism, personal freedoms with restrictions, and limited government with a supermassive nanny-state.

Modern liberalism is hardly liberal.

@decaf_wizard: Oh yeah I can totally see an Anitafa supporter being overlooked whilst a pol user who posts a spicy Pepe meme gets arrested. For instance, a YouTuber called Count Dankula is on trial for uploading a video of his dog doing a Nazi salute. The hate speech laws in the UK are obscene.

Its hilarious how hard the UK, Canadian and some European governments are trying their hardest to be oppressive, Orwellian nanny states, and how they don't realize that this will backfire on them

Everything is happening according to my expectations, we aren't far away from multiple coups in Europe, it's only enough to provoke the population, to have the right political party, many military officials at your side and finally, the right international ideology movement such like the Identitarian Movement which was founded in France and which strongly spread in Europe.

In the next 30 years, we will see how the liberals will meet with an inevitable backfire and I hope their representants within the political spectrum, are sentenced to death for provoking this all in Europe and possibly in the U.S.

@dernman: What liberals did in Europe is a treason against their homeland, the military is mainly driven by the nation's interest, but when the political balance tends to go against the nation self, it's not impossible to convince many military officials in organizing a possible coup.

After the first coups, it's easier to internally finance other ones in the region.

We aren't far away from overthrowing many modern monarchies, wonderful...

@laiks stake: It will happen anyway.... because the tendency of Muslims, is to destroy western symbolism and replace it for something which should represent their practices or religion, they won't hesitate in replacing the Big Ben in London, the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles in France, the Brandenburger Tor in Germany and other well recognized Europen edifications, for a mosque...It's an inevitable tendency and Europeans won't allow it.

They have a poor image about women rights, they support polygamy, pedophilia, to them, assaulting a women is natural, etc...

Look at this man...

@socajunkie: What makes you say that? I legitimately want to know why someone would say that?

...There's no such thing as an actual thought crime, the term is meant to be used ironically for when the government punishes someone for expressing an idea or opinion they don't like.

I know I'm gonna get jumped on here, but do you know what historically happens in tyrannical regimes right?

  • Control the Press
  • Disarm the Citizenry
  • Start rounding listing, and arresting dissenters.
  • Round up the intellectuals.
  • Round up your ground level supporters who will realize that what you're doing is not what you've been selling (otherwise known as "useful idiots")

Don't believe me?Start doing what I do for fun, read history books.

The UK government is a joke, but arresting people for potential terrorist leanings is the least of our concern. The first thing we have to fix is our disgusting austerity programme. For people in this thread to have the temerity to call it a nanny state is laughable and quite insulting for the millions suffering. Theresa May is probably the last person I'd hire as a nanny going by her track record.

@godzilla44: It's already on it's way. They've already a trend to label anyone who fights for free speech things like Nazi, white supremacist, fascist. They've been chipping away at it for years. First with Political Correctness, and the human resources mentality. Now they got Hate Speech and social privilege rights.

That's not even getting into the whole using corporations to censor things first so when we get us use to it, it will be easier to censor by law.
