there seems to be a reboot of a movie every year, are you guys getting tired of it, or is it just me?
Tired of reboots?
yes, for the love of god ,yes.
This is the reason i hate the multiverse bullshit . it's just a very cheep gimmick for them to sell more comics. following the same style in movies is a really bad idea.
Horror genre has it the worst...
Actually horror movies have it easiest.
It is so much easier to make many sequels to horror movies.
Look how many movies are in the Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Paranormal Activity and other series'.
No. No one is forcing me to go watch anything.
Truth.
@mrdecepticonleader: Besides Carrie what was the most recent reboot ?

Poltergeist I think. Assuming we are talking in the sense of remakes here.
The term can be used to refer to remakes since it is under the same umbrella.

Yeah and that is what I mean by worst. I was using the term reboot in place of remake. I was talking in regards to horror remakes. But yeah I also think famous horror series like the ones you mentioned in my opinion are best off left alone. The main reasons older or well established horror films keep getting sequels or remade is because they make money. There is not enough new ideas and creativity being brought out to wider audiences and brought to cinemas.

It depends.
Batman, or all super heroes, for example, is an ever changing being, with a multitude of ways to interpret his story, and, based on his 75 years, will continue to change forever. On the other hand The Lord of the Rings, which I like just as much as Batman mind you, has a definitive version in the books and Jackson trilogy, with effects that will stand the test of time (same can be said for Batman, again) and a definitive never changing story. It also depends on the time frame and company plans. For example, why would they restart IDK the Fast and Furious movies? They just made a new one days ago. Batman rebooted will work because of the Justice League in the future. Spider-Man does not because his films are terrible and have nothing to do with the MCU.
depends on what's being rebooted, honestly
Yep.
I make it a point not to watch them...... It's not like hollywood ran out of ideas. People just like to watch $#!% movies.... There are people trying to make great films, but people rather watch Transformer 4.....

actually, what i'm really sick of is hearing people complain about reboots
although i guess there are cases where it's justified. i mean, does "Poltergeist" really need to be updated in any way?
@amazingwebhead: Yiss
it was a rhetorical question
@amazingwebhead: So are you ! *cries*
@darling_luna: aww :( *hugs* feel better?
@amazingwebhead: *pours Snapple in you socks* Now I do
