Tibalt, the half devil half human planeswalker is returning to the Magic the Gathering Story in Chandra Nalaars new comic series. When Tibalt was first introduced his character became the laughing stock of the Magic community because his planeswalker card is still remembered as the worst planeswalker card ever designed. Not only that but Wizards of the Coast intended him to fight Sorin Markov, but because of how poorly he was received they scrapped the story. Sorin Markov is known as a very powerful and effective planeswalker in MTG and because Tibalt was perceived as so weak due to his card being a failure, no one believed that he should be able to fight Sorin.

Despite all the history of Tibalt being a poorly received character he is set to return to the MTG story in Chandra Nalaars line of comics.

What do you think they will do with the character of Tibalt? Will they still try and make him a serious character even though everyone believes he is a joke? Or will they embrace the public perception of his character and make him a silly, ineffective character for comedic laughs? Are you excited to finally see his character finally get some development?
