Tagging you guys because you commented on my other, similar thread. Give these two fine (albeit long) tracks a listen, not many people know Avantasia very well (if they know it to begin with) and probably even fewer know Ayreon, so you might find something new that you like too ;)

@dernman: I introduced Avantasia to quite a few people over the years and you're probably the first who didn't like it. You may wanna check their newer albums (starting at 2008's "The Scarecrow"), which are mainly just plain good ol' power-metal and less operatic/symphonic.

Ayreon are just weird throughout their whole discography so if you didn't like this one you probably won't like their other stuff either lol.

@spareheadone: Yeah mostly. Both Avantasia and Ayreon are supergroups. Avantasia was formed by German Tobias Sammet who is the lead vocalist of the band Edguy which you may have heard of, and Ayreon was formed by Dutch Arjen Anthony Lucassen.
