Trump won last time because of the electoral. I don't see that this time. Some states promised to undermine it by only counting the votes that go for the majority or something like that. More importantly do you remember the backlash and post election intimidation they received? Combine that with the riots and protests going on, all the cooperation bending the knee they might not be willing to go in his favor.

U.S loses either way.

Those riots and protests could work in trump's favor. Many moderates don't like seeing what is going on in places like seattle or chicago. A lot of people are also getting fed up with the cancel culture movement and destruction of property. All in all, should make for an interesting election.
