Cruz is the man for the job.

He's still got a tough fight to win the primary since the media, the left and the establishment GOP are all uniting against him. If Rubio can be knocked out, then it becomes a two man race, and I believe Cruz would win the primary and the general election, but I fear Rubio will stick around and split the more conservative vote leaving us with Trump.

I also like Paul. He'd be a close second choice for me after Cruz. I prefer Cruz because he's never cut deals with the establishment whereas Paul played footsy with McConnel, but I like Paul better on foreign policy. However, Paul has not done well this election cycle, and he has no chance of winning at this point. He needs to drop and throw his support towards Cruz. Cruz needs all the help he can get to overcome the media and his own party elites who just want to keep the gravy train chugging.

Id prefer Rand, not sure how I feel about Cruz. Refuse to vote for Dems because their entire party wants government to have the power to take away a individuals rights without due process on "suspicion" (a 8 year old made it on the terrorist watch list -_-)

Any particular misgivings on Cruz? He has a solid small government voting record.

Being totally unwilling to negotiate sounds like a bad thing to me.

How can one possibly actually do something if their only position is "I need this to go 100% my way or I'm out."?

This approach is why they can't do basic stuff like keep the government open, nevermind actually addressing something complicated.

It's so sad to see conservatives fall for cruz. He clearly can't win the general. He's well hated, has a nasty case of pedophile face, orgasms over jesus in every speech, still wants to attack gays and abortion, and has a great track record.... of not doing anything and having everyone hate him. He's clearly controlled by big donors like Goldman Sachs(which his wife is a high level exec and is also on the council for foreign relations. I mean give me a break! He's an outsider?) Citi bank, club for growth etc. I mean how can you not see right through him? Born in Canada, straight to Harvard and now he's some hardcore Texan? He's a side show preacher that wraps himself in bible verses to avoid criticism. He even was pulling dirty tricks left and right in Iowa, I thought he was a good little pedo Christian

Was for h1bs, gang of 8, not disclosing loans, not voting for audit the fed, being a weird dominion that would not hesitate to bring a theocracy here if he could. I mean ffs get this creep out of here and repubs so disillusioned they think he would be able to win. He was massaging the evangelicals prostate for week on end and he didn't even dominate Iowa

@edblank: I'm a hardcore anti-left wing guy and ted cruz is an embarrassment to the GOP and the exact reason people have bad views about the right wing. I would vote for bernie over cruz as he is at least honest and will tackle big banks which secretly control everything. And Congress wouldn't allow him to go crazy with socialist stuff. Cruz is just the same neocon big bank repub like bush. Expect massive wars under a cruz administration as all of his advisors are straight out George Ws camp

@batwatch I want to see what a cruz supporter has to say besides running away and saying "my candidate is more conservative than you"

@avatar_of_green: there is one primary per state and depending on what percentage you win you get a certain amount of delegates. Once you reach the set number of delegates you win the nomination. Trump ran and came in second in Iowa and won 5 delegates. Cruz came in first and got 6 delegates. Iowa doesn't really matter though because in 2012 they pick Santorum and in 2008 they picked huckabee. Ever heard of those people? Lol that's why Iowa doesn't matter, it's just a bunch of old white farmers, not representative of America

At least Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush did not win.

I wanted Rand Paul to win. Either him or Donald Trump have the best chance of tearing down the criminal establishments that have embedded themselves within our government.

How can one possibly actually do something if their only position is "I need this to go 100% my way or I'm out."?

This approach is why they can't do basic stuff like keep the government open, nevermind actually addressing something complicated.

The government shut down is purely the responsibility of President Obama. Cruz lead the Republicans in trying to defund Obamacare by using must pass legislation, a tactic used by both Republicans and Democrats many times in the past. Cruz and the Republicans did compromise by authoring individual spending bills that would fund every single part of Obama's desired budget except for Obamacare, yet the Democrats and Obama blocked all of these individual spending bills forcing the government shutdown because Obama and the Dems were willing to let American people suffer if they didn't get every single piece of their agenda.

Dems say someone is uncompromising every time someone opposes any part of their plans.

@darthdeadpool said I want to see what a cruz supporter has to say besides running away and saying "my candidate is more conservative than you"

Underlined Section: I'm not sure what this means. You've heard me say plenty, I didn't say Cruz was more conservative, and I've never ran away from you. In fact when you asked me why I criticize conspiracy theory websites like Infowars, I took the time to send you about a ten paragraph analysis of how they distorted the truth. Rather than discuss the issue sensibly, you found one sentence in my ten paragraphs that was incorrect, insulted me, ignored everything else I wrote and then refused to discuss things further, so you're the guy who likes to run away and take solace with the tin foil hat brigade when challenged with reality.

If you are wanting to know why I like Cruz, it's because he's consistently small government. He's taken very hard stands where the media, the left and the establishment of the GOP all opposed him full force, and he still stood by his principles. Nobody else in the race except Rand Paul can say that. Trump changes his positions as often as most people change underwear, (changes include abortion, taxes, guns, ISIS, Afghanistan, drugs, civil unions, Social Security, Iraq, immigration, corporate donations, party, Obama, Hillary and probably more I don't know) and Trump the supposed small government guy supports universal healthcare, amnesty for illegal immigrants and socializing the banks. Some people might say socializing banks is kind of socialist. You know socialism, right? That's one of the leftist things you claim to hate yet gladly embrace when it comes to Trump.

I can source every single claim I just made, by the way.

Regarding your other comments,

"It's so sad to see conservatives fall for cruz. He clearly can't win the general."

Cruz has an uphill battle for the primary, but I doubt he'd have any trouble trouncing Hillary, who has high unfavorability ratings across the board. Conservatives actually like Cruz and independents are open to him.

"He's well hated,"

Cruz is hated by leftists and those who enjoy business as usual in Washington.

"has a nasty case of pedophile face,"

This demonstrates your childishness beautifully, and again, this criticism is coming from a Trump supporter? The guy who has to use his money to get chicks?

"orgasms over jesus in every speech,"

He mentions God? Oh no! He'll sound like those bastard Founding Fathers who referenced God all the time. I know you must hate them too.

"still wants to attack gays and abortion,"

He does think the murder of children is wrong and he has a different view of marriage than you. So?

"and has a great track record.... of not doing anything and having everyone hate him."

Hard to get things done when you're one of a hand full opposing a big government takeover of the U.S.. Even harder when people like you who ostensibly oppose the Obama administration attack the few people who actually oppose Obama.

"He's clearly controlled by big donors like Goldman Sachs"

If you believe that donations automatically equal control, then all candidates are controlled including Trump.

"(which his wife is a high level exec and is also on the council for foreign relations."

She is associated with two perfectly legal organizations? Egads, man! Call the authorities. Cruz must be stopped!

"I mean give me a break! He's an outsider?)"

You just said he's hated in Washington, so...yeah! He's certainly more of an outsider than Trump, the guy who admits to talks about how much he enjoys buying political favors and has received the endorsement of the establishment GOP.

"Citi bank, club for growth etc."

Did you have a point associated with those two groups?

"I mean how can you not see right through him?"

He's opaque, Darth. People are opaque.

"Born in Canada, straight to Harvard and now he's some hardcore Texan?"

Completely irrelevant.

"He's a side show preacher that wraps himself in bible verses to avoid criticism."

Sure. Everybody knows Christians are never criticized.

"He even was pulling dirty tricks left and right in Iowa."

His campaign did pull at least one, and that is wrong.

"I thought he was a good little pedo Christian"

Crass, disgusting and baseless.

Also if you want to discuss faux Christianity, let me remind you once again that YOU ARE A TRUMP SUPPORTER!

"Was for h1bs,"

So? At least that's legal. Trump is for pathway to citizenship.

"gang of 8,"

He put a poison pill in the Gang of 8 bill.

"not disclosing loans,"

He disclosed it on one form and missed it on another. It was on the public record the whole time. He fixed his mistake when it was brought to his attention.

"not voting for audit the fed,"

They didn't have the votes to pass it with or without Cruz, so it was just a show vote. Cruz had commitments to another function the day of the vote.

"being a weird dominion that would not hesitate to bring a theocracy here if he could."

This is a bigoted assumption. Cruz is a Baptist which is the most common Christian denomination in the United Stats. If Baptists wanted to create a theocracy, they would have already done it.

"I mean ffs get this creep out of here and repubs so disillusioned they think he would be able to win."

That's not even coherent.

"He was massaging the evangelicals prostate for week on end and he didn't even dominate Iowa."

Again, crass and disgusting.

"I'm a hardcore anti-left wing guy and ted cruz is an embarrassment to the GOP and the exact reason people have bad views about the right wing. I would vote for bernie over cruz as he is at least honest and will tackle big banks which secretly control everything. And Congress wouldn't allow him to go crazy with socialist stuff. You are not so much an anti-left guy as you are a pro-conspiracy theorist guy which is why you'd rather vote for a socialist than a guy with a consistent small government record. If you don't like people who do favors for big banks, then you should be on board with Cruz who opposed the bank bailouts unlike Trump who said they were necessary and a good idea.

Also if you are against G.W. Bush, you should vote for Cruz because G.W. says he hates Cruz.

And yes you can't say you would vote for bernie and still say your anti left, that was more of an exaggeration but something is seriously wrong with cruz, he's probably the scariest candidate there is right now. You say you want to hear more from me as a Cruz supporter, then when I give you a substantive response, you say I write too much.

You choose to write twenty-four separate attacks on Cruz many of which are barely coherent phrases, yet you object to me writing a sentence or two in response to your poorly defined attacks.

Also, you're lying on the Infowars discussion. Here were my first three points. Feel free to show how any of them are wrong.

1. Strong Cities Network does not create and international police force. InfoWars claims it does but offers no evidence. Nobody associated with the program has said anything along those lines. In fact, they've actually said the opposite in that they are focused on working with social programs in order to keep people from becoming radicalized rather than trying to stop people who are currently terrorists. (Source) Now cities who join the SCN can partake in their resources among which are training programs for "best practices" on addressing extremist threats, and this is vague enough that it could be interpreted to mean that police officers from participating cities might receive some training from SCN, but this is speculation, and even if it does occur, it's a very far cry from saying the Strong Cities Network creates an international police force.

2. It was repeatedly stated that the Strong Cities Network was dreamed up in the halls of Oxford, but InfoWars provided no source for these claims, and I found nothing after hours of research to indicate there is a connection after many hours of research.

3. The SCN does not supersede the Constitution. Again, InfoWars claimed it did but provided no explanation as to how it would supersede the Constitution. The SCN is purely a voluntary body of associating cities. Nothing in the Constitution says your city cannot join together with an international body for the sake of coordinating information. These types of things happen all the time.

The only correction you did make was that there is a link between SCN and Oxford which I missed, but this still doesn't substantiate IW's claims that Oxford created the Strong Cities Network.

OBAMACARE WAS NOT PART OF THE ROUTINE FUNCTION OF KEEPING THE LIGHTS ON.

I am not even about to quibble over technicalities. Cruz shut down the government more than once trying to undo a law that was passed fair and square.

The fact remains that his style did not defund Obamacare and it won't get anything else done either because no one is going to be bullied into following Cruz' mandates 100% while Cruz literally offers nothing in return.

If you want to keep writing, tell me how going to Putin and saying "do what I want immediately. There is no negotiating with me" is going to work.
