Hmm, difficult question to answer.

Robinson was very good defensively, though I tend to agree with you.

He also had ridiculous technique in that he could deliver the max amount of power if he wanted to try and hurt a guy.

In any case, the reason I think Robinson beats Leonard and probably any other welterweight or middleweight is his ring IQ. He'd spend an entire camp perfecting one specific technique and the perfect set up to make sure he landed the attack. His knockout of Gene Fullmer is generally regarded as the most technically perfect single punch ever thrown in boxing.

@comicstooge: Yeah he is impressive and he does has great footwork. I think Leonard can match his IQ though. The way Leonard beat Hagler and the way he took down that 64 pounder showed that his ring IQ was pretty up there.
