I have just read the latest casting news on the upcoming Star Trek movie by JJ Abrams. So far we have Zachary Quinto (Sylar in Heroes) as Spock, Zoe Saldana as Uhura and Anton Yelchin as Chekhov. Added to that are the just announced Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Run Fatboy Run) and John Cho (Harold in Harold and Kumar) as Scotty and Sulu respectively.
Chris Pine is rumoured to be in discussions for Kirk leaving just Bones and Christopher Pike to be cast from the crew. The movie is due to start shooting in the next few months.
I figure there must be one or two Trek fans here on the vine. Looking forward to it or sacrelige?
