Should 9/11 become a holiday like Memorial Day?
@dshipp17: They wanted holidays?
They wanted to leave a lasting mark on the country and be remembered for it.
True, but, I think he already knew that that was the point being made.
And give the terrorists a holiday? That's beyond ridiculous.
Actually, 9/11 was very likely an inside job. The circumstantial and scientific evidence most definitely point in that direction.
No, as stated above Pearl Harbor Day, December 7th isn’t a holiday. Nor is April 19th, the day of the Oklahoma City bombing. April 15th was the day of the Boston Marathon terrorist attack. Then there are the mass shootings such as the July 20th Aurora, Colorado Dark Knight Rises shooting, June 15th Charleston Church shooting, December 14th Sandy Hook Elementary school shootings, June 12th Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida massacre, October 1st Las Vegas concert shootings and so on... Traditionally, Memorial Day is set aside to honor military personnel who gave their lives in defense of this nation’s ideals, but holidays evolve just as Memorial Day was once Armistice Day which celebrated the end of World War I. It could expand to include victims of terrorism and mass violence, as well if needed, however I don’t think there are any positives to be had by creating a day which focuses on the injuries forced on us as a community or as a nation.
@undefined: A holiday???
Accidently pressed yes, meant to press no.
And give the terrorists a holiday? That's beyond ridiculous.
