It's like many of the people who had an impact on me through their work growing up are passing away; Angela Hansberry and now the voice of Batman, following others earlier this year. It's unfortunate hearing that living in a strict Irish Catholic home growing up might have drove him to look elsewhere for peace apart from Jesus, staring at 17. Just trust in the Gospel of Jesus Christ for eternal salvation and Jesus will save, no matter what for said individual; the alternate rules though, wood, hay, and stubble versus gold, silver, and precious stones, but, wherever, Heaven can still only be Heaven for anybody; a rescue from the very sad alternative that an empathetic person like me could not wish upon anyone else (e.g. that vision of a newly lost soul just pleading for one more moment to make thinks right, but which likely will never come; but, Revelation 6 might provide that opportunity where Hell will be emptied of its contents, with the emergence of the Antichrist; that pleading soul can then run to Jesus and plead for help; that might be that one more chance for those pleadings souls, I can only hope, but, unfortunately, I might be wrong bout this, but, I'm only hoping for those poor souls there just pleading and longing for just one more moment to make things right). For actual salvation you only need to desire Jesus to save you and then trust in the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your first prayer to Jesus and He will save; you're not required to repent and then become perfect or a saint before you even have this first prayer to Jesus; working to repent and become perfect only starts after you've been saved out of gratitude for what Jesus has just done for you, in acknowledging your first prayer for His help that's already a waiting free gift for anyone who has yet to willingly receive it (e.g. just talking as an empath who has this ability to relate to those souls pleading for just one more moment to make things right with God, where Jesus is that only way for whoever).
