Hi. In this blog, I will guide you on how to survive CV!
Chapter 1: newbie n00b
So basically, like every other forums, you create an account & join. Now I know that most CV users came here for the battle forums so before you post jackshit, read forum rules 1st. After this, go ahead & change your avatars & shit (maybe even add your bio if you want to). When you're done w/these simple steps, then welcome, I guess
Chapter 2: getting serious & settling down
Now, if you're here to debate, then you can go ahead waste your energy on the battle forums. However, I do suggest chill off a bit on other forums. If you want to prove yourself as a real debater, you might get started on Challenge-a-Viner (CaV). As a new debater, NEVER expect a veteran to CaV you (cause they usually won't). Most vets look at your post count to debate w/. They won't debate w/users who usually has under 500 forum posts. If you want to get your forum posts so high in short notice, then I suggest shitposting on off-topic & just give your plain & simple opinions & thoughts on battle threads
Chapter 3: the middle
Now, let's say you already got over 1000 posts at this point. Congratulations, you are now a real user. At this point, you'll get noticed & known to other users. If you want to be super popular here, hang around the off-topic forum. In the middle, you can start making friends, shitpost more, etc. Just keep in mind, NEVER lose your cool at any moment
Branch/split chapters
Avoiding the deadly & immortal banhammer
At this point, you better pay attention more. Every forum has moderators, so of course CV got mods & their omnipotent banhammers. How to avoid it? Well, let's see!
- Be friendly to every1
- Inform mods of trolls & shit
- Don't troll too much
- If you wanna troll, just lightroll. Don't take it too far
- NEVER indirectly address other users
Try getting along w/mods as well. They're all chill ppl when you treat them as regular users
Making friends & getting followers
So this part is really important! If you wanna make some friends, the best way is to go to off-topic & start being super nice there. I also recommend you to follow users who you think are cool. They usually will follow you back. After that, if you really want some good talks, pm them. To get easy followers, you just have to be nice af & give compliments to every1 on the "Say something about the user above you" thread
How to deal w/enemies
So let's say that you've made a couple of enemies here as well...how to deal w/them? Well, if you still wanna stay here, I suggest to never respond to them again. They'll try to bait you real hard into convos & shit but the best way to deal w/them is to just simply ignore them. If you had enough & you're the victim, tell the whole story to a mod
Conclusion
Well, that's all. At the end of the day, you have to make it cool & nice. If there's a bit of a troll in your heart, you can take it out a bit but just don't go too far. That's all
