But I'm a cat, so that would be beastiality. >.>
I was rasied on Punk, my parents were both old school punkers. My father boycotted Minor Threat because they got a friend of his blacklisted in DC, just because Ian saw the guy drinking a beer somwhere. Minor Threat made good music and the idea of straightedge was cool but Ian was an asshole.
I like digging through my Dad's old albums, my favorite is "Dance With Me" by TSOL. Code Blue, mother suckers.

You ruined the topic!!
(p.s. I don't believe that story for a minute... ian is so not like that. sure if your dad's friend smashed a glass over another guy's head at a gig... but ian's not righteous enough about making others be straight edge to kick someone out for it)
Been jammin' the Dicks and T.S.O.L. all night at work. Anyone interested in 80's hardcore please give OFF! a listen.
Lay it down
The only Misfits that mattered were Danzigs Misfits....does anyone disagree?? If you do you can go fork yourself
I'm a child of 90s pop punk: Fat Wreck Chords, Epitath, Kung Fu.... You know, the stuff skateboarders used to listen to before hip hop took over.
Here's some of my favorites:
Misfits (Danzig)
Ramones Late80s/Early90s era
Rancid
Screeching Weasel
Dillinger Four
Vandals
NoFX
Minor Threat
and others... I'm too lazy to list right now.

This. I won't listen to the Misfits if Danzig wasn't fronting the band.

does the name Iggy Pop ring a bell to anyone ?
F##K YES! he was doing his thing in the early 70's even. I love me some Iggy.
The Stiff Little Fingers are one of my personal favorites.
Love me some DK
Old school punk was pretty much all I listened too in highschool. I still love it and I'll still have days where it's all I want to listen to that day.

I saw them a couple times in the 90s, and in my early 20s, I hung out at the bar Ben Weasel bartended at. It was a surreal moment.
