Cowboy Bebop Manga worth reading or not?

the Anime is literally the best anime ive ever seen (the soundtrack and just the overall visuals kill it 10/10) but i dont want to be disappointed by a subpar manga

Can't wait for the gowther back story. The real one is op as hel. Wonder how powerful is he in comparison to the doll.

Edit: What I really want to see though is Merlin's back story.

And just like that the whole 'why is Jiren Goku's rival if Toppo is the leader' thing disappears.

What was up with the ending to Battle Tendency? Since when could a volcano launch huge slabs at escape velocity? What is this show? Why do I love it so much?

@just_banter: JoJo has always been a dumb fun insane manga/anime. Only gets weirder after Battle Tendency.

Also, I saw your comment from my thread, and if you're going to get into Negima!/UQ, be warned Negima! started off as a harem series and slowly transition into the battle manga over the course of like 4-6 volumes.

@warlockmage: The Cowboy Bebop manga is OK, but it's not as good at the TV show. Has some differences.

@beaconofstrength: I made it through DxD without so much as a semi. I have conquered To-Love-Ru and I only needed to stop watching to have a wank once. I endured Yosuga no Sora and only got jealous 2 times. It's going to take more than a little cleavage to break my iron will.

And never watch the Negima! anime that aren't the OVAs, they're all garbage. OVAs are pretty at least and have a few cool fights.

Well Gowther's backstory is pretty damn depressing.

I say yes. Same creator, just with an alternative backstory for ed/faye & 1 or 2 other things. characters have the same feel/dialogue to them. It's not particularly long either, if you enjoyed the anime that much; I think it's safe to say you will not be disappointed in the manga.

@eminel: I just read that the other day, seems interesting. But the real kicker is going to be when mom pops open that chest from fishman island, cuz no one knows how big that IED will be. I think they might actually pull this off nicely, their exit strategy seems pretty safe.

@captain_inverse: The thing is, Capone knows nothing about this box, it will explode on mama's face, everyone will be shocked including Capone, he could even think that another group is plotting to assassinate her. When the plan is revealed before the execution it fails, it's always like that.

Caesar has nowhere to go, the marines are after him, he is being hunted by Kaido, if Big Mom survives this arc he will be hunted by her as well, and even Blackbeard could search for him because of his devil fruit. There's only two ways to go, or he dies in this arc or he joins under someone, Caesar will never join the strawhats so the only option for him would be the firetank pirates, but he made clear that he wants to go separate ways of Capone and Luffy, but Capone still has his heart.

The way I see, Capone will tell that Caesar has no options unless to stay in his crew. Thinking about, it could mix well with Capone's devil fruit, he could create various deadly weapons that coud be fired from inside of Capone.

@eminel: good point, part of me also feels like Big Mom might be aware of Capone's history; she doesn't seem like the type that would go in on an arrangement without knowing who exactly she was dealing with & what she would gain by it.

I forget, does Jinbei know about the trap bomb? I know the fishmen never ended up telling the strawhats the gold they gave big mom for payment 4 the sweets had a bomb in it.

So I've recently been binging on some of the 80s mecha classics out of nostalgia, stuff like Macross, Votoms, Mospeada, Bubblegum Crisis, Vifam, Appleseed, Patlabor, etc. More real mech, less super robot. They're all mostly still as good as I remember, but of course I can't deny the gap in the level of animation to today (though I'd argue some of the older styles had more charm). Can anyone suggest any recent anime (2010 and later) that are similar?
