Nintendo's last good console.

In your opinion, what was Nintendo's last great console? Was it the SNES? The Gamecube? The N64? Personally, I'm firmly in the Gamecube camp.

GameCube by far. Still havnt played the Wii U yet and I doubt it will be any good.

Are we talking great or good? OP and title say two different things.

If we're talking good, then probably the Wii U because it's just fine.

If we're talking great, then N64 (IMO, but I could agree with the GameCube as well).

If we're allowing handhelds into the mix, then the 3DS was the last good and great one.

I didn't count this because I feel like a console should be judged when it's replaced by the next generation console. The Wii U still needs more good games imo.

Still waiting on another Metroid game. It's been so long since Corruption and there hasn't been another game since then and there was definitely no Metroid game in 2010.

@vrakmul: Same, its one of my favorite Nintendo game series along with Pokemon and Mario and Luigi.

I think people thought that some of the old Metroid games that were released on the virtual console were "new" games when they are just re-releases.

Other M killed the franchise for a while.

LMAO! You're right. I just had a momentary lapse of sanity. I think I was hallucinating what hell is like, where one of my favorite franchises was butchered and I forced to watch.

IMO The Wii, it was original and even inspired Sony and M$ to do the same with Kinect and Move.

I love Wii bowling, Mario, DKC and the VC :)

I also love the N64 and SNES, hard to choose between those two.

N64, that thing was legendary

If you mean legendary then the N64, If you mean great the Wii (Take in mind that I haven´t played with the Wii U so I don´t know if it is great or not)

N64 all the way. That game system allowed me to bend space, and fly through time like it was nothing.

The N64 was my first. It will always have a place in my heart.

The Cube

Wii was great in my opinion.

Gamecube, N64, SNES, and NES were all great consoles.

The appeal of the Apple experience is a tightly integrated environment.

Nintendo is the same way and the reason I always said it is the Apple of game consoles.

Add in that the IPad and IPhone are applauded for having the best apps and not the best hardware is similar to Nintendo.

wii u is an awsome system

Wii U is fine, Mario kart 8 is one of the best in the series.

SNES is the best Nintendo console though.
