Skeptics believe the whole 2012 end of the world via comet, aliens etc etc is nothing but non-sense, myself included. See the report below.

Today on the news something new, strange and unexplained to science has emerged that may have some bearing to this subject, you decide.
Here is the article, again from Yahoo news.

Mysterious planet-sized object spotted near mercury
As in:I think it needs way more verification to say what it is.
"umm its the probe MESSENGER's shadow caused by the glow of the sun reflecting off mercury mixing with hot.. err swamp gases, errr or something..."
That's about all we will get from "official" news.
@CapitolPunishment: It will take more than a blip. There is probably life out there but im not sold that that was a ship. It is very hot there 400C (750F) degrees on Mercury's surface and a solar flare acts like an EMP If I remember correctly.
Mercury is 5.5% the mass of the Earth and the blip was 1/3 the size of Mercury. Cloaked? Lol Trekkies.
I never trust the military when it comes to UFO's, they are notorious for there cover ups in this subject. However I have to agree with you on this one, I'll go with the Naval experts over the youtube guy any day, I would however like a third party that has expertise in the field to review the info and give us there take on the whole thing.I'm gonna go with the Naval Research Laboratory on this one.

I'm with you man, I am certain there is other life out there aside from us but this is not yet enough to prove anything. If a credible third party reviews the data and writes a report that contradicts what the NAVY report said then I think this subject would be open for debate and the possibility of it being a real ship would become a real possibility.@CapitolPunishment: It will take more than a blip. It is very hot over there but if an alien race can build a ship that large and cloak it I'm sure they would be able to shield themselves from the heat (which in a solar flare is thousands of times hotter that the temperatures you mentioned) and any emp bursts that the sun releases, an emp would be the last thing an advanced alien race would be concerned about.
If somehow it was ever proven to be a real ship that's some scary sh1t. If it was real than it easily just survived a direct hit from a solar flare, our weapons including nukes would be useless against it.
@CapitolPunishment: The whole concept of why there would be a cloaking mechanism seems a little sketchy to me as well. Its like why bother we would be considered cave men to something that could travel here.
Wouldn't that suck if it turns out to be our good friend Big G, I doubt people would continue to call him a jobber to his face.

Well I for one welcome our new Galactic overlords.Did you turn off the cyno jammers?

Well... that's one crappy cloaking mechanism if it is :P
The skrulls they are not.
Unless....
this is a distraction from a real ship.
No.
AN ARMADA.
O_O
@InnerVenom123: INDEPENDENCE DAY!
I wanna be the one who flies into the alien mothership to nuke it! I totally call it!
@tron_bonne: Centerpoint Station. An extremely powerful device in Star Wars that was created by "the Celestials" when they made (or arranged) the Star Wars galaxy.Ok, it must of been from some game because I don't recall seeing that thing in the movies.
