Both of them at their peak.

The only way to win is decision.

12 rounds.

Fury has the reach, size, power, and training advantage. All of the physical traits are on his side. He's too awkward for Ali to pin down with his style and he can outscore him with jabs. Ali would win a brawl but this isn't one. Nothing Ali does will surprise or shock Fury because he's literally watched him box for hours.

I was hoping someday would come this to CV.

Fury is the better boxer, he's legendary, in fact, he imitated Ali's Rope a Dope technique.

PS:

My first betts on this dude gave me some nice earnings back in 2015, when he fought Wladimir Klitschko.

@jim_moriarty: But Fury is currently first place on the rankings in heavyweight, the guy is a legend, he dethroned Deontay Wilder...

@abstractraze: He beat Wilder like a child lol. Wilder is defective in all of boxing skills and technique. He doesn't even know how to punch "correctly" lmao.

Deontay Wilder score:

I can agree that his punching technique isn't that clean, but for that, his footwork drills compensate for what he lacks.

Fury was born to be a winner and failure is his bitch...

@abstractraze: This record thanks to his special right hand.. His only weapon but also most effective weapon.. His right hand hid his all technical defects..

@jim_moriarty: That's also true, but his right hand would render as ineffective by creating poor angles of approaching.

@jim_moriarty: When you see Tyson Fury's unusual punching speed performance, I feel a tingling in the belly, it's so damn incredible... it's like, "I'm dreaming or I'm indeed in the reality".

This is a good point knowing how the opponent fights is a huge advantage. Tyson fury certainly watched Ali's fights, in fact everyone who likes boxing watched Ali's fights ...

I'd back Ali, he fought better competition than Fury who has a record against mostly nobodies. Fury has struggled against boxers shorter than himself who I don't think are as fast or as skilled as Ali.

I mean, yeah, as a tall fighter Fury is gonna take tips from one of the best outside boxers in history, lol.

I can also say that on Ali's end, he's never quite faced someone like Fury, someone who's not only massive and physically strong, but also as fast and unorthodox as he is. His style of outside boxing and creating space with his jab doesn't really work on a guy like him and as stated, Fury's reach, long arms, and size means he has a significant advantage in that style.

Tyson Fury stomps. As fast as Ali, has comparable defensive skills, striking skills, footwork, ring IQ. Has clearly higher punch power and far better reach.

His only worse side than Ali is his chin. His chin is already not glass but not granite too. Ali had granite chin.

Tyson almost wins all rounds.

Steve Cunningham gave Tyson Fury a lot of trouble, I think he himself mentioned that he doesn't like fighting shorter, faster boxers.

Muhammad Ali was a very crafty fighter. He's the greatest heavyweight of all time, I think he can really give Fury some issues.

Their press conference would be legendary though, both are very witty guys.

Plenty? He only lost 5 times and won 56 times.

I'm not knowledgable enough on boxing to definitively say who wins in this match-up, but to say 'Ali had been stopped plenty of times" seems like a bit of an over-statement. And also, in two of those losses, the Parkinson's had begun to set in, so it's really not fair to hold it against him. Those fights should never have happened.

I'm not an expert on boxing, but I think Tyson Fury might best Ali at his own game. He's clever, quick with great reflexes and has the size advantage.

Muhammad Ali was good but honestly a bit overrated. Mike Tyson, Holyfield & Buster Douglas were all better boxers than him. Hell I bet even prime Ingo (Moped the floor with Floyd Patterson) would beat Ali i they fought

If you really think that Ali who was barely even a heavyweight, actually stands a chance against Tyson Fury who is a gigantic human with modern skills, you’re probably also the type of person who thinks Bruce Lee was the greatest fighter of all time.
