What are movies that critics considered bad or awful but you think are good
this is mine
These aren't perfect films, but they are what I call "My Top-20 Favorites that Critics Don't Like All that Much" (see links). I am genuinely fond these movies, and believe they are good films. There's no guilt or irony in my appreciation for them. I would re-watch any of them any day of the week. Many I have seen at least a half-dozen times, several over a dozen times.
While I can understand the backlash I always liked The Lost World: Jurassic Park best of the JP series. More of a style over substance appeal for me though. I prefer a forest setting over jungle and it had great atmosphere.
I've also been especially fond of the Star Wars Prequel trilogy, yes even The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones(very underrated btw).
@kingofwakanda: @magian: Just got around to watching it again. Still so great. Just so many great zingers and exchanges. So 90's in the best way. And I'm also kind of convinced myself they foreshadowed 9/11.
"I have no idea how to fake killing 4000 people, so we'll just have to kill them for real. Blame it on the Muslims, of course."
@immadnice: Because of the shit ending. If it seems weird that Jamie Foxx’s unlikable character won in the end that’s because it wasn’t supposed to happen, Clyde won in the original script but Foxx complained and wanted his character to win so it was changed for the worse.
1)MoS by far has the top just because of how much I like it, even after getting into comics and reading up on the "real" Superman and 2)Thomas Jane Punisher: For an early 2000s CBM its still pretty damn good.
3) Alien 3. It's a shame they didn't use Giger's concept art for the runner though.
