So kameo fatalities, breakers and the injustice 2 clash system. Also how did kenshi get into Johnny's House? and it's great raiden still has powers. Mileena is the Princess of outworld instead of kitana?

So much in this trailer to go over. MK1 seems like the best MK game to me already in terms of quality.

The people in the comments aren't feeling it.

Comments I'm seeing more positive than negative, I wish the speed was a little faster but I'm glad the combos are back and breakers this is big gameplay wise. MK 11 was too slow and boring to watch. I like how they brought back X-Rays those are fun.

@mreperson: New timeline so entirely new origins. Sub and Scorp are now brothers, Mileena's mouth is due to a disease of some sort and Kahn apparently but seems like Kitana is her escort and possibly wants to be Kahn or ruler at some point, Raiden is asian now, younger and seemingly just a metahuman but still has lightning powers(who knows if he'll be as powerful as he was but looking like no but still formidable), Cage seems like a rich actor and collector as he has Kenshi's sword Sento, which belongs to Kenshi no doubt why Kenshi is at Cage's house. Looks like regular fatalities, kameo fatalities and breakers are back(thank God for that)

The Gameplay Trailer does look Good. Glad Raiden still has his Lightning Powers. I think I saw Stryker in the Trailer too. I can see myself wanting the Classic Ninja Costumes for Scorpion and Sub Zero. I like all the changes in the story so far. Maybe a humbled Shao in Outworld is next...

The gameplay and visuals looks great. Not to sure about what's going on in the story. Biggest issue for me is making Raiden being made into a rookie now. I preferred what they seemed to suggest they were going to do with him and make him and advisor to Lui Kang not be remade like everyone else was.

@king_saturn: Yeah same. I too am wondering what's up with Shao Kahn if he's different or dead?

@wastelandman Yeah not sure if he's just a metahuman now and not a God since he still has lightning powers and his amulet so trying to figure that out exactly, he doesn't look nearly as powerful as he was in the older timelines but he still has lightning, teleporting abilities and his amulet so I do hope they explain this. I'm guessing Liu Kang brought him back as an ally and I mean Raiden while he did accidentally kill him also made him a God and was his former mentor so I guess Liu figured that's the least he could do lol. I'm sure the story will explain more on that I too am very curious what they'll do with Raiden and Liu's relationship and if he'll fill him in on everything that happened in previous timelines.

Yeah, Raiden's status was one of the things I'm most curious about. I do want to know why he still has lightning powers as a mortal; I had assumed those were a part of his god powers and not a technique like Lui Kang's fire attacks. Also, in the last DLC, they both agreed that Raiden would be his mentor in the new timeline yet Lui Kang brought him back with seemingly no memories. I don't think Lui would dishonor their agreement like that, I think Raiden getting killed in the old timeline somehow made it necessary for him to resurrect him the same as everyone else.

@wastelandman: Yeah for sure, same. I was thinking maybe since Liu brought him back in his new timeline/new era/universe etc maybe he gave him lightning abilities but nothing else? Yeah that too, the aftermath point is a good question. Then I also considered, to be fair Liu or Raiden didn't confirm anything about when he'd come back in Liu's new era of him having his past timelines of memories(Raiden I mean) so maybe that was just them confirming that Liu would bring Raiden back and he'd see him again but it would be a new version of Raiden so to speak, I remember Raiden also said in aftermath as a mortal that he would mentor and guide Liu for as long as his mortality allowed? It definitely raises questions which I'm sure they'll address more in the storymode. I'm assuming you mean Armageddon's timeline where before Raiden seemingly gets killed by Shao Kahn he changes that timeline with the MK 9 reboot preventing that one dark future of Armageddon that lead to the MK9-MK11 timeline, since the last timeline Raiden didn't die he just merged/turned Liu Kang into a God and then became mortal after that. I'm sure they'll explain it further though.

Hopefully the next MK 1 Gameplay showcase they let us know about Konquest or some other Game Mode. This seem to be strictly about Gameplay and New Fight Features which was Great.

@king_saturn: Yeah they will have the Kombat Kasts so no worries man, those are fun as hell to watch and very informative. I just hope they ditched Kombat League and hiding cool stuff behind that and that this time there's no grind that makes you want to smash your head against the wall lol.

What I noticed

So some things I've noticed.

-Throw techs aka throw escapes now do minimal damage to the person trying to throw very small chip damage. Thats new.

-Flawless blocks are back, not a fan of this mechanic but hopefully its easier and more consistent than mk 11s.

-Breakers seem to be strictly kameo based.

-I like how they went back to the traditional meter of 3 bars and not that stupid offensive and defensive meter.

-Fatal blows are back and seem to be kameo involved too so does this mean they're all different depending on who we pick as a kameo teammate?.

-Kameos can throw.

-Sub-Zero has his ice clones back.

-Fatal Blows seem to work the same once with once a match.

-The speed seems to be closer to mk11s but I want to say slightly faster than mk 11s but no where near MK9s or MKXs speed.

-Krushing blows seem to be kameo based moves but hopefully they're just special moves with different direction and nldont have dumb requirements this time around.

-The bar stage has sweet music.

@arctika: I was watching this video earlier. The game speed does seem more like MK 11 than MK X. The Kombos and Chain with Kameos could make it more Interesting and speed up the Game though. Still more curious about the Rest of the Roster and Story or Konquest Mode. I wish more Kharacters was Available to Play with at First but this is just the First Showing. Hoping Quan Chi, Shao Kahn and Ermac are coming back in some form.

@king_saturn: Super just uploaded his video he explains the trailer makes it look way slower than it feels, the games speed looks I'd say slightly faster than MK 11 but not nearly as fast as MK X or MK 9. The kombos look smooth though and fun, MK 11 that wasn't really possible they felt like they were in slow motion almost. Super also said pretty much that the kameo characters speed up the gameplay a bit and there's a few newer mechanics, You can hold up and block now against jump in combo starter players if you time it right you'll have frame counter advantage, but if you mistime it you're vulnerable to throws and low attacks, breakers take 2 bars again like MK 9 and MK X. Based off the amazon italian leak they immediately took down Quan-Chi and Ermac are in Kombat Pack 1, I'm sure Ermac will be back after the demand from MK 11. He's a popular character, Quan-Chi much the same now Shao Kahn IDK, for all we know he may be dead or not even exist in this timeline but I guess time will tell.

Also apparently Sub-Zero is Bi-Han, I wonder if Kuai Liang will be in this game.

Ice Clone has returned and now he can enhance it apparently making multiple ice clones and he can do it in air too for air combo extensions...that's going to be fun to deal with lol

I can see Shaolin Monk Raiden probably being my Main this time. Usually I go with Scorpion but I am very curious about Raiden as a Mortal. I wonder when Kombat Kast is coming back ? Don't have us waiting too long with new content.

Yeah seeing Raiden as a metahuman is still weird lol but apparently he can still fly and has lightning powers so that's cool. I wonder if Kuai Liang will be playable eventually with different set of ice moves. Also rumors are going around that Scorpion is Kuai Liang this time around which would be wild but Boon has not confirmed either way who Scorpion is exactly, so fans are speculating that this is Hanzo and Kuai Liang is someone where else helping. There's also theories that there's 3 brothers Bi Han, Hanzo and Kuai Liang but that sounds weird to me lol.

Wow, so Smoke, Rain are in the game and Sektor and Cyrax are Kameos!

I liked the Lin Kuei Trailer a lot especially with Sektor and Cyrax back with their Classic Costumes from MK 3. Rain should be Fun to play with as well. The only thing that was a bit disappointing with the Kombat Kast was Johnny Cage's Gameplay. I hate that his Green Force Ball attack is Gone. I liked using it as Range Attack mixed in with the Shadow Kick. Everything else was Solid. Kung Lao's Kameo is on point too.

Yeah, some Cage fans were bummed about the green energy thing gone I wonder if that'll be apart of his new canon in this timeline or if he just doesn't have it for gameplay. He has some weird moves the taunting with his moves to fill his Star meter thing lol. At least he has the shadow kick, that and the nut punch are his staples. As a Sektor main, I'm happy he's at least a Kameo I'll be pairing him with my other favs and Scorpion gives me UMK3 and MK9 combo vibes in this game.

I hope we get Raiden gameplay in the next Kombat Kast. Sektor should be a Good Kameo because he has a lot of different attacks he can use just.

Yeah, I'm so pairing Scorpion and Sektor. Raiden and Sektor as two of my teams already in my head, and Ermac and Sektor. Probably Raiden and Ermac too if the game allows. Scorpion I can tell you right now will be one of the easiest combo kings of this game, you saw how effortless he was doing 37% combos lol imagine adding the kameo to that, dude's going to have easy 40%+ combos.

I keep hearing about a New Character in Mortal Kombat 1. I am curious about who that could be as well.

Yeah Ed did say there will be at least once new character, who knows. Always exciting to see new characters. I thought D'vorah, Geras, Erron Black and Cetrion were interesting newer characters the past few games.

Personally I hope it's a new ninja, white colored, Gold or metallic silver or something. Also Ed pretty much confirmed on his twitter that every ninja will be in this game. Someone said asked if every ninja will be in and he said "they very well could be" lol

Ok, so one of my predictions was right Li Mei being that rare possibility. And apparently Tanya and Baraka are back. Interesting seeing Darius as a kameo

MK 1 Kombat Pack DLC teaser trailer! The leaks were indeed right! Holy crap, everyone looks insanely good.

Li Mei and Tanya look like a lot of Fun to play with. That Kombat Pack reveal was Huge. Homelander, Omni Man and Quan Chi will be what I will favor most from that Pack. I hope Ermac has his Ninja Costume too.

Li mei is....... completely different. Baraka plays like an absolute unit. Tanya was meh. Reptile reveal when? And isn't Omni-Man a bit too OP for MK characters. Johnny cage V Omni-Man doesn't sit well with me.

I heard someone say they saw Khameleon in the Trailer. That's very Interesting.

@king_saturn: Same, a lot of Ermac fans are happy we just want his mask lol or a ninja outfit(I'm sure he'll have one for sure. I heard some rumors that Ermac will be fighting against Quan-Chi in story(supposedly) I wonder if Ermac will be a good guy again? Hmmm. Seeing Takeda again is cool and seeing Omni-Man, Homelander side by side is crazy. I'm guessing they got Anthony Starr, J.K. Simmons and John Cena to voice Homelander, Omni-Man and Peacemaker?

And yeah, the scene where Tanya is talking with Li Mei you can briefly see Khameleon behind Tanya(it looks like Khameleon) she'll probably be a kameo I will say just a guess. Interesting how they brought back Darius as a kameo.

@CAV_Tighten:Most MK characters consist of powerful magic metahumans, Gods and Cosmic level character, Sorcerers etc Omni-Mani is powerful but then so are MK characters. Liu Kang literally re-created the universe he's pretty much above everyone of them in this game by feats alone.

I had forgot that was Takeda on the side. Hmmmm... either way that is a strong Kombat Pack for the First Round. Even a little curious about Peacemaker.

Same ^ I also love how the Kombat Pack characters are entirely different from each other, I just noticed it said Homelander won't be available til Spring 2024 I'm guessing this is when The Boys S4 starts, would make sense to market him and release him then.

I am more curious as to how Homelander and Omni Man will have different skills as they have almost the same Power Set. Was there another Trailer ? I thought there was supposed to be Three MK Trailers at the SDCC MK 1 Presentation.

Yeah the third hasn't dropped yet(some are guessing it'll be the Cage Match 4th Legends animated movie) but that's just rumors. Yeah a lot of wondered that too, I'm guessing Homelander will have moves similar to Superman where Omni-Man will have more moves emphasizing on closer combat. Just a guess though. I'm just thinking if KP1 is this insane, what the hell will KP2 and 3 be? lol

I could swear they said they were doing a panel demonstration apparently so did a ton of other MK fans the SD live didn't even list anything with Ed Boon but they said on twitter they were doing something so not sure what happened with that. Boon did confirm the 3 trailers though directly the other day.

Have they shown a Pit stage yet ? I do not remember seeing that one.

Looks like the DLC leaks were true, having Omni Man and Homelander is pretty wild. Funny to think players are basically getting a playable deathbattle lol. Got kind of mixed feeling about the changes in the new timeline but we'll see how that plays out, I guess.

@edamame: Yeah, Ermac is getting mixed reception online with the no mask, less ninja look. I'm sure he'll have a classic looking outfit so I'm not that worried. In MK9, MK X they gave him this mummy look they seem to be on with him but he did have ninja alternates in those games so I'm not worried. They redesigned him in MK 11 when they show him falling on a spike in the pit(which isn't canon) but that annoyed fans of them redesigning him just to have him as an easter egg lol.CPU vs CPU? Like a demo replay mode you mean? They'll most likely have that, they put that in the past few games so you can watch your matches, combos etc record option or do you mean the A.I. battle option that was in MK11? Where you could pick your characters and do CPU vs CPU? So far they haven't confirmed any other modes outside of one v one, storymode and a new mode to unlock stuff. They haven't gone into much detail outside of that thus far. I'm sure we'll get more modes and info soon though.

Yeah Tanya looks dramatically different, and her weird magic staff nunchuk thing lol looks cool though. Li Mei was a nice surprise, she was one of the rumors along with Ashrah but I guess it was Li Mei and Tanya being the big reveals today.

@king_saturn:Not yet that I know of, ok so I found out some stuff they did do a panel but it was like I guess an invite thing only or certain amount of people at CC, because some people leaked a picture of Reiko and Motaro in the storymode. The stages are insanely detailed in this game, some are more gritty looking. For a while there people were wondering if everything will be so clean and pretty but thankfully we are getting some more grittier looking stages too.

@wastelandman: lo I know that is kind of hilarious with Omni-Man and Homelander lol, going to see a lot of those matches online I bet and how most people reacting online outside of the hardcore MK fans are like "who the hell is that guy on the right?" lol It's like poor Takeda people either forgot this dude or don't even know him.🤣

@edamame: Oh haha yeah all good. Yeah the last game you could do that theres also a tutorial recording mode where you can do things then re watch moves to study tactics and high level gameplay too. With the last games A.I. battle you could program your a.i. character to fight a certain way ie combos, zoning, countering etc etc then watch your cpu guy va the cpu of another player Duke it out.

Thats all good some players like to just watch instead of play sometimes.

Yeah they're out there now lol. I have to find them alone because I keep seeing people react to them lol looks cool though motoro rips off some guys arms and Reiko confronts li me but it cuts. The Lin kuei one shows sub and scorpion disagreeing on something with smoke with them and that weird monster sound its probably my guess either nitara or reptile. Probably more nitara since he's looking up.

Drahmin and Moloch as Kameo fighters would be Cool. Kombat Pack 2 is kind of lacking if that's true above. Doomguy is ok I guess. Harley Quinn is a Pass. Deathstroke is Cool I guess. Noob Saibot would be Cool but honestly I wish Noob Saibot was like a Hidden Character in the Game itself and not part of DLC.

I heard these rumors earlier but I have also heard some conflicts with Harley and Deathstroke, the other 3 I have heard from various rumors and leaks though. I'm sure Sareena and Noob are true, Doomguy has been asked for for years as well now so he's probably true. I've seen some saying Deathstroke was for KP3 supposedly but typically each fighter has a kameo to match them so there has to be one other person for a kameo. I guess we'll find out in time, but if Amazon has these names then it's probably true lol. Amazon italy leaked KP1 and was 100% true so maybe they'll leak future kombat packs.

Also one of the newer mini games is said to be a game where you destroy heads in a cage.
