[edit] Marvel Comics animated films
In 1980, a Japanese animated television movie loosely based in The Tomb of Dracula comic book was released under the title Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned.
Since 2006, all animated films that have been released or have been announced are produced by Marvel Animation with Lionsgate Home Entertainment and are released direct-to-video. Once their deal expires, all futures animated films will be released by Disney, as the Walt Disney Company has bought Marvel Entertainment at the end of 2009.
