Mario or Sonic The Hedgehog: Modern Games

What video game character had the better modern games, Did Mario have the cooler games or would Sonic The Hedgehogs be superior and more impressive.

while one could argue that sonic had the better classic games during the time of the Genesis, everything Gamecube and beyond has been heavily in favor of Mario. Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy, Mario Odyssey, Mario Galaxy 2, even Mario + Luigi Dream Team, these are games Sonic really doesn't have a decent answer to.

Sonic hasn't been able to compete for a very long time.

Sonic can only compete when it comes to classic games. Mario is much better when it comes to modern games.

The one that didn't have nearly half a decade (above half depending on who you ask) which fans refer to as The Dark Age.

This, the only decent Sonic games were the classics. Everything else is basically garbage.
