Okay folks...from everything I've read about this guy (which isn't much...frustratingly not much has been written about this incident. For instance whether the boy lived or not) which seems to indicate he has some sort of mental problem.

He'd had several complaints against him for, among other things, throwing drinks in people's faces, smashing glass objects in stores, and throwing things off of balconies in the mall. There was no mention, either way, of this being racially motivated (it would seem not from all indications, but really, who knows?) so this talk of it being so really serves no purpose.

PS: A hate crime has to have some sort of statement, vocally or in writing, that the crime was committed in relation to hatred of a group or community. Just because the criminal is from one group and the victim another doesn't make a crime a hate crime, even if one group wants to declare it one in the media.

I couldn't find any information except that he's still alive, as of when I checked. But, times are really changing; something like 1988, when Highway To Heaven was on, seems like ages ago.
