@tomlikesfries: The older feats should not count since powers are decided by writer and not a title.
The current writers should respect the attributes given to Strange by the creator of the character. For example, Scott Snyder can't just give Batman freeze breath unless he gives a very good reason.
In the past, when Strange was Sorcerer Supreme, he had reality warping, so now that he is SS again, he will also have reality warping.
@tomlikesfries: The current writers have weakened starnge and as much as I want him back to the immense power he used to have, you cant assume he has the same powers he did before just because of a title. Not sure why we are discussing this.

The current Strange has no feats so far, but the classic ones should count since both Doctors are Sorcerer Supreme.
1. Devil-Slayer (closest to street level wizard, plus he is kind of bad-ass with access to magic medieval weapons (disruptor mace, demon blood seeking dagger)
2. Taskmaster (shield/broadsword/knife/bow)
3. Zaran (halberd/two knives/nunchaku/shuriken)
4. Hawkeye (bow/sword)
5. Elektra (two sai/shuriken)
6. Bullseye(bow/throwing knives/shuriken)
7. Moonknight (crescent shuriken/hatchet/triple iron (one of the few who I have seen use one))
8. Conan (sword/axe)
9. Kull (sword/axe)
I tried to have both long/mid/short range capability.
Really wanted the ring holder to be Holden Carver because it seemed funny to me and also because I always want to use him for everything, but Miss Misery makes the most sense and her struggle would be greater. That switches their roles around and makes Holden the supporter, but also arguably the better character, which works out. I picked two former agents of IO as hobbits because then they're vaguely related to first two. Midnighter is an elf not only because of the potential for a gay joke (not that I'd make it) but because as a member of Authority, he's above the rest in a way elves might be. Had trouble with the dwarf but I picked Emp just because he's short. Zealot and Nemesis get to be humans and Tao is the wizard because he's easily the most powerful even if he doesn't look it, and I can actually see him saying "you shall not pass" and having that be the most memorable part of his confrontation with a balrog.
I assume they would use the same equipment and resources as the fellowship?
First you need a king in exile, to claim the throne and lead Gonder. So for a replacement for Arragon I would choice Macbeth (Gargoyles), he also spent a lot of time living rough and keeping a low profile so should be able to navigate the hobbits through the swamps while avoiding the Nazgul...
A replacement for Boromir is harder, I might go for Winter Soldier. He needs to try and take the ring then sacrifice himself.
Gimli, Probably any strong warrior. I might go for Batman. Would like someone with a beard...
Legolas, maybe Green Arrow. Probably a better archer, but more lacking in lore... although all he needs to do is shot down a Nazgul.
Gandalf is a tough one. Needs someone to raise spirits and give hope. Might go for Captain America. I know he lacks magic, but Gandalfs true power was not his spells but his courage.
Merry: Cypher's (also good for speaking with elves), He is a mutant rather then human so should be able to fulfill the prophecy of killing the witchking. HE along with Pippin need to be weak enough to be caught by the Orcs.
Pippin: Dave Lizewski (Kick ass) (Starts weaks but grows throughout his journey))
Sam: Alfred Pennyworth (would like someone stealthier, but he is loyal, faithful and honest. )
Frodo: I lack the knowledge to replace the ring bearer. So I have failed in my quest to replace the fellowship.
Alan Quatermaine (LXG comics by Alan Moore) Who needs an elf with a bow when you have an Elderly opium addict with an elephant gun, who also happens to be an overatted pugilist
Hellboy (Comic Version) He can take the balrog out and take a beating
Ramirez (Highlander) Ramirez would be willing to give up his long life to save his freinds. Not that he would need to unless Lurtz had been replaced by the Kurgan of course.
Killer Croc, A born leader and a fitting air to the throne
Rambo, When you're pushed, killing's as easy as breathing
Bane, He will break the ring by casting it into the fire, his iron will shall protect him from the temptations of sauron
Robocop, Shall protect Bane and carry him if need be (not that bane needs that)
Deadpool, You cant for go for a hike without him
Wolverine, we need him to start arguements and pick fights with the fellowship.
Nightwing. Two iron escrima sticks 20 throwing knives Cyclops. Blasts triggered by incantation spatial awaress is always present with brass knuckles Iron fist. Brass knuckles (or iron lol!!!) Taskmaster. Shie- basically boromir's weapon set Deadpool. Two crossbows 100 bolts 2 katana and 2 sais Spiral.5 swords and spells by thought Kurt Darkholme(Aoa nightcrawler). 2 rapiers Elektra.2 katanas and 2 sais also 30 throwing stars Bullseye. 50 throwing knives and bow and arrow gettin it done.
I give Batman the One Ring and task him, with the aid of Nightcrawler, of dropping it in Mt. Doom.
Bullseye will be tasked with accomplishing essentially all the rest of the feats, except for killing the Balrog. Ghost Rider will be sent to take that out.
My Frodo Baggins will be Beast. Similar lightheartedness with a penchant for acknowledging the gravity of the task at hand. Probably won't get humiliated by a cave troll this time.
The role of Aragorn will be inherited by Victor Von Doom (no tech, no sorcery). His cunning and battle savvy will direct the fellowship. Just imagining Doom wielding a broadsword makes me think I don't need seven more companions, but alas....
Boromir will inspire Sabretooth. I make this choice because personal urges overriding the Fellowship's goal defines both of these men. I think Doom can keep him under control, and he will survive the Uruk'ai attack at the end of book 1.
When Legolas pulls back his bow, it will be Daredevil pulling the string(s). An archer who can actually feel the exact point of the opponent's heartbeat? Oh yeah.
Pippen and Merry have to be jolly comrades who can pull up a sword when their time comes. Beast's closest allies will be none other than Nightcrawler and Shadowcat. Not exactly the easiest two to bring back to Saruman.
Gimli, son of Gloin. Captain America. No explanation necessary.
Gandalf the Grey. This one's a bit tricky. Hmm... I think Spider-Man would have a better chance at taking out a Balrog than just about any Street-Leveler alive.
And finally, Samwise Gamgee. Beast's best friend and fateful companion. I think the Angel would be fitting in this role. The road to Mordor might be a little easier with him along.
