Looking for some Manga.

I have read comics and my friend said that I should get into Mangas.

He told me about Hellsing and Gundam, But I dont know anything about them and was wondering if someone could tell me what makes them diffrent from comics and if there is anything better then the one's he mentioned.

Also if you could tell me some characters from the ones mentioned so I can look them up, He told me about aluard, Is that how you spell it?

If you like series like Ruroni Kenshin or Yuyu Hakusho try checking out Bleach. It's one of my favorite mangas. Trigun had a better manga than an anime too, and Cowboy Bebop was incredible in both forms, anime and manga. Full Metal Alchemist was a great manga too. I like it better than the anime, and the anime is great.

Hellsing is a manga that is centered around the main characters- Alucard, the most powerful vampire on the planet, Seres (Police Girl), Alucard's assistant he turned, and Alegra, the head of the Hellsing Organization. Hellsing is an organization set up to destroy the monsters that hunt humans in the world. Their a Protestant foundation that often wages territory wars with their Catholic equivalent the Iscariot Foundation. Hellsing has a lot of memorable fights and amazing characters.

Gundum depends mainly on which series you watch. If you like wrestling try G- Gundum, it's centered around a tournament. If you like big battle try the original Gundum or 08 MS Team. I'm a big fan of 08 MS, it's more of a view from the soldiers view as Gundums are mass produced and almost every army has large suadrons of Gundums that fight brutal battles. If you want a long story line that has many small battles and off the wall character then Gundum Wing is a good series.

if you get any manga it should be bleach. in my opinion its one of the better ones.
