Least favorite form of mathematics?

We're just going to consider the "main four," i.e. algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Which do you least prefer? This could be for any and all reasons ranging from difficulty to interest to applicability.

My least favorite so far has got to be trigonometry. Although I'm probably a bit biased seeing as I had a horrible trig teacher.

At the point where they started putting numbers in it. Any, honestly, I have dyscalculia, but I had trained myself to do basic math. Long division hung me up a lot. Pre algebra blew me out of the water. I JUST barely passed my college algebra credits with a LOT of practice and a LOT of help from tutors, and just memorizing things, rather than trying to understand them.

Geometry was painfully easy. If you got below a 90 you're not trying.

Algebra II was bastard hard. Although that may be because I was too focused on girls my sophomore year. Worst grade I got in high school.

Trig and pre-Calc weren't bad for me because I studied all the damn time. But it wasn't a cakewalk either.

AP Calc was Algebra II all over again.

To think that I have Mathematics as one of my new university modules next semester. Sigh, I don't suck at Maths it's just that the amount of practice needed to get good marks is annoying.

@mfundroid: Afraid so, it's similar to Dyslexia, except that math calculations get jumbled in between your eyes and your head and back to your eyes. There's also a syndrome called Dysgraphia, that let's you see and read just fine, but it causes a screw up in what your brain sees and what your hand writes. I don't have it but my son does (he also has Dyslexia, and had severe ADHD, though he learned to control it, though he was medicated for a few years). He would TRY to write, oh let's say a P when he was 13 or 14, and it looked like a 2 year old wrote it no matter how much he concentrated and tried.

Life is weird.

Honestly, geometry. It's probably the easiest branch of maths there is (maybe trigonometry), but my brain just refuses to understand anything about it. I hate it with a passion. I prefer calculus by miles.

I always thought math was a pretty easy subject, but then I took Calc II...

Geometry is of least interest for me; however, when I took trigonometry with calculus, I just loved trigonometry. It might be just that I took geometry when I was a junior in high school, when I was phasing out of my disinterest in education, and took trigonometry in college, when I was most interested in school; however, when I took a course dealing with stresses in mechanical engineering, I still found that I disliked geometry; I just couldn't make much sense of non-trig shapes, and their relationship with math, the last I tried. However, my math professor who taught me trig was much better for me, than both my geometry teacher and my stresses professor, so, that was also a major factor.

My Cal and Trig professor would always say "This is not the monster (referring to trig or cal), algebra is the monster."

Basically saying that trig and cal are easy. It is the algebra in the trig and cal problems that make them hard.

All of mathematics I despise for me.

I actually love most of mathematics, especially geometry( including trig), curve manipulation and integral calculus. Least favorite is combinatorics. Missed half the classes and never did get the proper hang of it.

I hate a lot of Maths, but what I hate the most are the Maths questions that are poorly worded in a way that it's inconvinient and hard to understand.

I have the math level of a fourth grader. What do you think my answer is? I hate math.

I have ADHD, so...

I just took several forms of basic math classes to make up my credits. I did zero percent of my homework which was 40% of my grade. (schools then naturally have to make half* of the grade homework so that people who are to inept to actually pass the tests and quizzes can still pass the class.)

highest class I ever took was algebra 2 or something along those lines.

That said I helped a friend of my pass his trig class. (I forgot what I got out of the deal, but trig homework was difficult.)

as I've gotten older I tend to jumble up numbers as read them.

as for my answer, any form of mathematics where the teacher makes you show your work.

Math... My least favorite subject. It just bored me to tears. I hated Algabra so much, Geomatry was okay I guess. Still bored me however.

Calculus is definitely my least favorite and the hardest one. I thought trig was hard until I took calc 2 and calc 3. Hardest math classes I have ever taken. All math seems a lot easier to me after that, so it did give me that benefit. Definitely the hardest though. It actually requires you to use trig, geometry and algebra too, though only the most basic parts of them.
