No, this isn't a thread about how sexy Chris Hemsworth is (for the record, he's smokin'). THis is a thread just for us gals on the CV. Because it has occurred to me, and I'm certain you too, and we can deny it no longer --

WE ARE SURROUNDED BY GUYS. 0_o

We girls are kind of alone way out here in nerdland surrounded by men and boys who may share our interests, but not our gender and the problems that come with it.

Here, you can talk about anything, and even though there is no way to block this thread from male users, MALE USERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POST  UNLESS YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TO POINT SOMETHING IMPORTANT OUT. Sorry gents.

So have fun!

i thought this would be appropriate lol

words women use

1.) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.

8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying 'GET BENT'!

9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, "what's wrong", for the woman's response refer to # 3.

Lol!!! She's right.

Although Natalie Portman is full of youthful beauty, she is not a boy.

Chris Hemsworth actually had to grow a beard because he looked too babyfaced to play Thor.

So what is the highest heel you girls have ever worn?  I tried wearing a 6inch once, but it had a two inch platform so that is kind of cheating.  Even then I nearly fell like ten times.  Other than that I only go above 3 if it is a special occasion.

The highest I've gone is like two inches, when I was 14. I haven't had any 'heeled' occasions since then.

@TypingKira: You should get at least a pair of three inch ones and practice so you can be ready for things like your wedding day.   Unless you are planning on going barefoot on the beach.  Oh even better topic than fashion for driving men away, dream weddings ...

Lol, that's a good suggestion! I'd definitely consider barefoot on the beach tho, but that'd be kind of hard since I'd really like a big, huge, fluffly princess type dress. Minimal on the applique and decoration and stuff, but a big huge skirt.

You can go big and puffy on a beach.  Have you ever seen "trash the dress" pictures?  Not that you would have to do that.  Still I guess dressing down looks more accurate on a beach.  So how how about a barefoot procession in a garden next to a beach?

I live near a resort where a lot of Japanese couples come and get married, and they get married in a little chapel by the beach, then come down to the grass by the sand and get a few pics taken, then go back down to the sand and take the rest of the pics. I'd like to do something like that.

But I want something kinda earthy too, y'know, like an autumn theme.
