Russia and China are massive. Genghis held the largest consolidated landmass in history. I don't think he needs your permission to be validated as a successful Emperor. As for where are the Mongols now, woven into the Chinese and Russian genepools. The Mongols weren't conquered they split their regions into smaller families of generals and fought each other.

Without using sarcasm, you can't really fight a decentralized enemy that way. Bombing runs and airstrikes just make it easier for your enemy to recruit.

I find it sad there wasn't a mention of the ten year anniversary of the Beslan massacre in the media. I'm not condoning Russia's recent actions, I'm a pretty big critic, but I don't think a country that lost over three hundred innocents, most of them children, is going to allow some idiotic outfit like ISIS even remotely enter their collective consciousness as a viable threat. Babushkas alone would lead the charge in slapping them down to the ground.
Well, knowing Putin for what he does, ISIS doing anything against Russia will herald the imminent arrival of the Russian Army, who by now must be getting bored with playing partisan in Ukraine.
