Is the transphobe right?

Tbh the game just proves that trans voices still aren't heard and that we as people really need to take a look at ourselves because trans folks are still getting killed and assaulted just for being different and if something this small like asking people not to support a fictional universe that was created by someone who clearly has no respect for trans people aren't working then the future for trans people isn't really going to change anytime soon and that's sad to see
J.K. Rowling is not a transphobe. She is a feminist which offends some. Standing up for women's rights may offend some, but it shouldn't.
This was so poorly thought out by those who tried to boycott the game.
It's like they didn't know the Streisand effect has been a huge thing for the internet since forever.
@just_sayin: she is far from a feminist
Maybe. The controversy definitely generated some free publicity. But Harry Potter is popular. For what reason it’s popular, I’ll never know. But you could expect it to sell well regardless.
Is the completely rational person right?
I fixed the title for you.
eh if you seen some of her other views you might not be saying that. It's funny she agrees with them like 99% of the time but on this one issue she doesn't and suddenly she's a demon to them.
@purplehairedni1: why bother supporting anything then? The gaming industry is a toxic place in general but we're gonna pick and choose what to boycott.
I get a kick out of every time a video game causes controversy, they didn't learn from MK and GTA....going after a game be it politicians, activists, SJWs or LGBTQ+ will never work and only helps increase the game's popularity. These people never learn...I mean regarding the boycott she's not wrong, it also goes to show you that there are real HP fans out there that don't give a crap about people's personal views regardless if she's the creator of the franchise.....
The funny shit Is that jk Is a very left leaning person, She agrees with the woke mob 99% of the time but since She believes that man and women are biologically different She became Hitler, leftist are the most spiteful and miserable group of people out there
Is she really transphobic, though?
Yes she is IMO.

Why? I am curious. I have read a few of her "transphobic" tweets, (not all since I am not on twitter) and I'd like to hear the point of view of someone who thinks she is.
@lightordark: She denies people's gender identity and encourages ignorance.
I mean, the whole drama was a shitshow. Saying "if you buy the game, you're transphobic" is the least effective way you could spread your message. It just leads to spite.
@lightordark: Same, I agree. Her tweets just spoke the truth regarding biological fact. I looked to see if she said "I hate trans people, I don't like them" or anything similar. Nothing. This is nothing new now days, If you disagree with someone saying they have 100 genders or identify as a space unicorn, then you're a "bigot, transphobe, sexist etc, etc" 🤷🏼♂️
She’s right, but she’s not a transphobe.
Agreed.
@lightordark: She denies people's gender identity and encourages ignorance.
Okay, but based on what? Her tweets?
If those tweets were transphobic then I'm Santa Claus.

How?
If those tweets were transphobic then I'm Santa Claus.
Where does the Op say the tweets were transphobic ???
Is she really transphobic, though?
If she wasn't why would she try and double down repeatedly.
people who menstruate" ("I'm sure there used to be a word for those people,") what she's trying to say here is clear as day
@kgb725: Did I say the OP did?

If you didn't believe it why would you act like they did ?

You aren't making sense now. I mention tweets and you act like it was directed at OP.

And where does anyone say the tweet was transphobic back to square one
@kgb725: Look at post above mine. Now stop talking to me.
Disliking a lifestyle choice does not make you a “phobe” of the person practicing that thing. I have many family members that smoke cigarettes. I hate smoking. It’s killed many people. But I still love those family members. You can disagree or not like a lifestyle choice and still genuinely love/have kind feelings for the person doing it.
For those that identify as trans you have to understand that for the majority of human history, most humans identified as male or female and this had little to do with personality or mental state. And biologically that is the two options you have. To uproot that and change that status quo, even to the point where you want people to change language they have spoken for their entire lives, well then that’s a lifestyle many won’t be fans of. That doesn’t mean they hate YOU.
@w3b: I asked the same question days ago, and no one has given me anything concrete.

Typical
Watching the farleft eat their own is one of the most humourous things in modern politics. Anyone who truthfully disagrees with Rowlings views on trans people is just in outright denial of basic reality.
@reaperthegrim: far left lmao
more like libs, the far left would send both to siberia

Rowling has been put through the ringer by both sides of the extreme camps if you think about it. Conservative Christians wouldn’t let people read Harry Potter because of witchcraft (this is still one of the most hilarious things to date). They even burned the books, and now the far-left hates her because of her views on women.
