Is it so/very obvious that ghosts, souls, spirits and the afterlife never existed in the real world in the first place?

There are still many things that science cannot explain.

So the most logical thing to do about poorly understood stuff is to refrain from concluding anything.

Be open minded while maintaining caution (be critical of information).

On a more practical disposition, if believing on something supernatural helps you in your daily life than stick to what you believe (as long as you are not harming anyone, then I don't see why would it be a problem)

Spirits or an after life existing has potential. Ghosts are definitely fake though. There is no actually decent evidence for the existence of ghosts.

No. Science can't explain everything like the woman who knew she had a tumor and the exact spot because of voices

@tyrannoraptor:

I don't think you understand how science works.

Science is base on testable observation, it cannot work on anything that failed to be observe or tested.

And thus any ideas that falls into such category, (no matter how logical or rational they are), are outside the realms of science (eg: multiverse, simulated universe, existence of soul, existence of afterlife, higher spatial dimension, string theories, etc).

Science never claim itself to be the sole authority of "truth", it only explain what can be legitimately observe consistently in the physical world, which is limited by our own ability to observe and our limited level of understanding

Example: Is there life on Mars?

We don't know

Maybe we don't have enough samples, maybe we don't have the right instruments, maybe our understanding of life is still incomplete.

Also the absence of evidence is not an evidence of absence.

@mimisalome: @orangevegeta: @kgb725: Yeah i thought science has apparently denied the belief in ghosts and/or spirits.

Theres just no hard evidence for ghosts and spirits. Who really knows if theres an afterlife

Oh yeah i see as ghosts and spirits can be invisible and intangible most of the time.

Hmm, it looks there might be undiscovered things that go way beyond whatever science could discover or undetectable by scientific means.

1 John 5:19-“the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” I think there is ample evidence of that. Ghosts not so much imo
