In a world where weapons are banned & guns don't exist, what would be your alternative weapon of choice?

It can be manual tools, sports equipment, manual farming equipment such as a sickle or scythe just nothing developed purely to be used as a weapon.

Mine would be an old ship rudder: EDIT: or dual meat cleavers.

Metal cards.

I actually had a set of metal throwing cards, not a full deck or anything just four aces.

Why would I need a weapon in this scenario?

The only thing I can do right now is making them come back to me after I throw them much like boomerang but I can't throw it as hard or as accurate as this guy.

No weapons, so I think the closest thing would be a machete which is a tool, not a killing instrument or weapon but can be used as one.

Like I've said a katana was invented for the express purpose of warfare so it's disqualified.

A Bow n' Arrow is passable as a utility instrument.

No that is another instrument of war. You could go with a wood cutting axe or a harpoon just not a halberd.

Sounds cool but you'd have to be very manipulative and passive aggressive in order to not get killed while you wait for a poison to take effect in a heated altercation.

Where weapons are banned and gun's don't exist? I don't know about anyone else, but I don't think guns fall under any other category than as a weapon.
