Im stoked for the rise of skywalker but im also worried

My main concern is this...lets assume that palpatine comes back as a clone or is ressurected back into his prime. If rey without any training in the force(not that crap that happened on anch to) or lightsaber combat without any explanation as to why she is so powerful...will ruin the entire sequel trilogy for me personally.

Im not a rey hater,i loved the force awakens and i thought daisy ridley gave a great performance and did the best with what she was given.

Luke had to train,anakin skywalker trained the better part of his life to be as powerful as he became and was still eclipsed by mace windu, yoda and palpatine. Which is crazy because he was the chosen one with the highest force potential ever.

Anything else is nit picking really and i'll still wait till it comes out in december but if rey beats palpatine in single combat...im done with the new trilogy.

Honestly my biggest concern about this movie, is that they are going to spend most of it trying to correct TLJ's "mistakes" instead of completing the story in a satisfying way.

It’s going to be great for sure. They won’t have Rey soloing prime Palpatine don’t worry. I just hope the movie features Kylo and Rey mostly with a little bit of Finn and Poe and no unnecessary side plots for them.

I hope Rey will solo Palpatine with ease.

Personally, after Endgame I am good on time travel for a while. I don't need any head-scratchers for a while. I am excited to see Star Wars IX, but I would rather a clone explanation or even force ghost possession over time travel. Still, I kind of like the idea that Kylo could be his own great-grandpa.

@Penguin-Dust: Not so much into time travel either but the problem with Endgame was that it was just badly explained. It made it even worse. Hope there won't be any here as well.

That would fix the Mary Sue's traits. Maybe she is just a vessel for Palpatine's spirit to possess.

You dont need detailed critique to see obvious errors. Like plot stealing, illogical characters, plot holes, etc. Profe critique? What does that even mean lol? Anyone can critique with enough experience in cinematography.

Don't care about Star Wars anymore.

Rey is going to beat Palpatine because she's just that good. Deal with it haters.
