I'm a Catholic and it wouldn't matter to me. God is God and I'm just a speck, she can appear however she wants.

Pretty sure God is entirely depicted as whatever gender he/she wants to be.

Well, for one, the thread starts out flawed, because you can't be anything close to accurate by lumping Christianity with similar sounding doctrine. Also, this thread demonstrates more ignorance by incorrectly implying that Christianity is somehow guided by dominance and misogyny, a structure that just formed over time. The guiding principle in decisions is God's Commandments and is rooted in His design for creation. It's nothing even ambiguous that God has always preferred to have a male designation. God is the Holy Trinity, so, a component of God may be a Woman; that component is the Holy Spirit.

I think that if we were to scientifically ascertain that God is a woman, believers would be way to busy freaking out over her actual existence, to be concerned with her gender.

If there was some kind of indirect evidence pointing to God being a woman, most believers would simply dismiss it as heresy. People are very attached to their beliefs.

I've never thought of God as having any form. Like a ocean of spiritual energy...But, pa'que no? The earth is a woman. Our mothers are women. Why couldn't God be one...
