If you could choose the date you died, what date would that be?
How long would you like to live for?

I don't like thinking about this kind of stuff. But it depends on my health, if I get to live a healthy life 120 years or more. If not then 65.
What a silly question.
I don't know if I want to live forever, or even for a 100 years. But I do know I want to have the option to live to a 100 once I'm 99, rather than to have that option removed from me by my progressively declining health.
I want to live for as long as I want to live, why would we have to make that decision today? All I can really know is that I don't want to die anytime soon.
If I would have to guess tho, I don't think I'll ever want to die. I've got plans to do things which would take me thousands of years to finish, and after those thousands of years pass, I'll probably have plans for the next million years.
@alphaq: Think of this "energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another." You are consciousness and subconsciously, physically and metaphysically, energy. Are you not?
Nope. My energy gets changed into a form that is no longer me anymore. My consciousness is like a song or a pattern, eventually it'll end even if its energy has not been destroyed.
@alphaq: You just like proved my point. Your consciousness is a "song" and a "pattern" no two are homogenous in the cosmos. They have the distinctiveness of a snowflake. Even the ones that are akin in lineage are a reincarnation of the former. So essential you wouldn't but someone else ancesterally by extension.
