How does it feel after you receive your first salary from your workplace ?

It feels like you have studied really hard for a test and have taken the test and gotten every question correct but somehow you were given a C

underwhelming

Unsatisfying. I was excited at first, but after a while, it was meh.

Motivating.

Lost my first check when I was walking home. So my second check was my first check.

And it felt good to finally get my own money. Didn't ask anybody for shit since I got my own money. Rarely asked for anything anyway, but this pretty much sealed the deal.

when I got my very first paycheck it was very satisfying. when I got my first paycheck from my latest employer it felt good because it was more money that I was used to but I wasn't blown away or anything.

It's cool. First thing I bought was a Corn Beef on Rye. Good sandwich.

@supermanthor: Do you mean the very first time I got my check, or every time I get my weekly check (I get paid hourly).

My first job was at a grocery store when I was 16. I was nice to have some money even though it wasn’t much. It was much better than getting money from an allowance, which rarely saw from my parents.

After a little bit it becomes a nucence to go to work while I was going to school.

Felt pretty good. Feels even better when you enjoy your job.

What's your first job ?

I was a teacher's aide for a youth class. Didn't pay a lot but it was still nice.

Obviously now I make a lot more than that, but I also enjoy what I do now so it's still gratifying to me.
