How come the highest amount of slander in terms of interracial relationship is towards black men/white women pairing?

If you look online towards any other interracial group pairing you hardly will fine any images/phrases objecting it. However, when it comes to black men and white women having an interracial relationship, you have the biggest ad campaigns against such pairing.

And you can find tons of these images, that are bashing this interracial coupling throughout the internet. Yet, you would hardly hear any slander, memes, images, or phrases with regards to any other interracial pairing. For example white men/indian women.

So why does our society have such a hang up with regards to this pairing.

I think its just more common because in the US you have generally more animosity towards black men than for example indians. And they are mostly permeated by white males hence why they bash the black-white relationship they can't possibly be a part of.

From personal experence, its the White Man / Black Woman paring that the most frustrating to deal with in a relationship. Especially if her family are anti-white racists

Most of the times, it could be just because some people that just has that look about them; I'm glad that I don't, I just have another look, where, it's not objecting to the pairing, it's more "is this some kind of joke", and it even goes with a black woman too, involving me.

But, sometimes the reputation is deserving, to be bluntly honest; those images above are quite telling; wish I could put in a better defense, but the black nerd image going with a black guy like Steve Urkel is just pretty rare. Trust me, I'm probably even more of an anomaly, going by appearance, especially and too; and, by the way, I'm actually mixed and actually much closer to being Native American (e.g. the African American in me is actually up to my mother's grandparent level, while it is my mother's father who's Caucasian, it's just that some Native Americans can be dark too; and, actually, lots of African Americans may be shocked that their probably mixed Native American, the saying goes), even though I'm very likely to be assumed African American by appearance alone.

I would say because it is by far the most common pairing, wouldn't it make sense that it gets the most talking done about it.

African American male + White Female is 10x more common than the reverse.

I know probably 30 or 40 African American Male and White Female couples, I think I might know 1 where it is an African American Female and White Male and she is only half African American.

Reverse that for Asian + White pairings. I do not know but one Asian Male + White Female couple but that one is a little bit of an outlier, he is a 6'2" model and amateur MMA fighter whose family is rich.

I know plenty of White guys who date Asian females, and MANY more who want to.

Not very many people of Indian decent where I live so no opinion on that really.

The way I see it, if the person is good for you, who cares.

Most common is white husband and asian wives followed by black husband and white wives.

That is only based on statistics of marriage not couples.

Many lower socio-economic interracial couples do not get married do to better benefits from being single.

Humans have two types of very primal instinctive reactions to this sort of thing. First is the tribalism, Us vs Them, mentality that racism comes from in the first place. Second is the deep drive to protect our females from harm/being impregnated by the other tribe so that our tribe can propagate without competition. The reason a black man with a white woman is met with more scrutiny is because it's perceived at a basic level as a member of another tribe taking one of your tribe's prized females and using her to continue his own tribe's genetic line at the expense of your own.

People who are still driven heavily by this tribalist mindset, not even necessarily openly racist individuals mind you, are going to get feel bad hormones through their brain and be compelled to protect their female from the rival male, which is basically the emotion jealousy.

For what it's worth, you do often get the same reaction from tribalist black people when they see a black woman dating a white man. It's just not as prevalent in our culture because they don't make up the vast majority of people you're going to be interacting with on a daily basis.

Then you sprinkle on the stereotypes like black men having bigger penises and black men being more likely to dump the girl if she gets pregnant, and you end up with even non-racist potential suitors and the woman's parents becoming worried. The first group because of insecurities (men are taught from an early age by popular culture to invest a huge portion of our identity in our dick sizes for some reason) and the second because they genuinely don't want to see their daughter get hurt. Both feelings may be misguided, but you can't help how you feel.

On another note the white woman / black male is more common than the reverse in the media. The reason for this has a lot to do with what metal said. A white man with a black woman would have seen to have had racist undertones, he's taking one of the the women. A lot of the mentality behind it is the idea that women belong to the the tribe, it's the same mentality as to why women in middle eastern countries are made to cover up, protecting your property from other men.

This would be all well and good if it were balance across the board but it seems there is heavily more smear and hate campaigns to discourage women ( particularly white) from dating blacks. While you will hardly ever see such a campaign for other races. For example an Asian person in a relationship with a Hispanic or a white person dating an Asian person. You'll never see the level of hate memes generated, image/verbal attacks both online and offline as you would see those generated towards white woman dating black men.

So while yes, you taped into the reason of the underlying cause, you still have not explain why there is heavy disproportion of criticism towards black men dating whites. Also many people in this thread seem to be of the belief that the most common interracial pairing is black men and white women when according to statistics of interracial relationships, it is actually white men and Asian women. The level of hate for the latter is way less than it is for the former. So where is the tribalism when it comes to that?

For example -You have way less criticism towards a black men dating Hispanics. In many Hollywood movies in the past, they use to pair blacks with Hispanics rather than a white romantic co-star very often, if they were going for a non-Caucasian lead.

Hell, many porn stars who work in the business, such as Rachel Starr has openly admitted to being in a relationship with black men off camera. But has stated she would not have sex with a black man on camera because of the backlash that would come from the porn fans (biggest consumer are white males) would cause.

You'd have to look back in history to figure out why black men dating white women had such a negative stigma attached to it.

I'll give you a hint..white women weren't the ones bearing the brunt of the backlash and suffering it caused.

Black people were hitoricially thought as second class citizens even after Slavery, of a lower strater than both White Women and Men. So for a Black man to date a White Woman consensually in a relationship where naturally (in those times), a men would take the lead was seen as perverse.

That is why it was easier for white folk to believe that Black Men where raping White Women, then Women actually approaching Black Guys they liked.

Also White women were/are seen as symbols of purity. Its why I think society is so obsessed with white girls from wealthy esteemed background who act "rachet" like Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, the Kardashians etc. Black people have been intrinsically seen as dirty, so for women to go for meant they were sullying themselves, which is why you get the "we don't want you anymore" stuff coming from.

On a personal level I've gone from Swearing White Women where the salt of the earth, to low key despising them, to being mehhh about them lol.

@paragonnate: Because relationships, at least historicially, have always had an power play element to them, which is that Men rank authority over women. In a Black female, White male relationship, the fact that Black people historically have been seen as being in a lower social class to white people has more synergy with the idea of women being subsurvent to men.

Also Black men have unfairly/fairly have been seen as leaders in thier communities in a way Black Women have not. So Black men taking White Women represents more of an active rebellion.

And also, while I do feel that overall, Black Men have it worse than White Women, there is an element of ownership in the sense, that some White Men feel that White Women belong to them.

Some people don't like the idea of a couple like that. It's wrong, but it's what causes so many issues. Also, some people believe black people are stealing white women from white men, and they don't like that. Again, it's not right, but that's how it is.
