So when we take pictures of Earth from space, the camera is moving alongside the planet.

That makes sense to me.

@the_hajduk: Same thing as the fly in the car concept really...

The Earth is in a vacuum and we all are moving at the same speed as the earth...

As for a satellite or camera in space it's called gravity buddy.. Again they move according to the Earth.

@clawgrime22: Bro the earth is 12,742 km in diameter, spinning through empty space, your not going to feel that shit.

If I send a tennis ball at full speed it looks fast but something the size of the moon is going to look pretty slow moving at the same speed.

It's almost like everything in Earth's proximity moves with it by some mysterious force of attraction🤔 and more so, it's almost like it takes Earth 24 hours to complete a full rotation 🤔

Curios 🤔🤔🤔

Lol everyone is being pretty mean to the OP

No need to be dicks. The question seems pretty genuine.

Based on my (limited) physics knowledge if the Earth is moving at a constant speed and then the camera is being held by a person who is also moving at that same speed, it should appear as if there's no movement at all. Preferably ask someone who actually paid attention in class.

Because I got my physics degree some time ago and was last practicing so long ago, I thought it was a good question; I started contemplating it, but so many posters answered it; basically, your speed relative to the earth makes the difference (e.g. there's a subtle but important difference between speed and velocity in physics by the way).
