Anyone ?
Have you ever cried watching your favorite character having a great heroic or any other kinds of good moment ?
It happens. Not necessarily with comic heroes but during the botched execution of Delacroix in The Green Mile I cried a little & most anything involving sad orphans can make me teary eyed.
Yes I cry at a lot of inspiring heroic moments. Like when Steve Rogers jumped on the grenade. Or even just watching Carol Danvers never give up during training.
I cry partly because I am slowly losing my physical abilities and the prospect of ever being a physical hero is leaving me behind.
Partly because I am genuinely inspired to at least be the best I can be.
And partly because I am depressed.
Not a single tear has fallen yet, but I do feel something welling up at the corners of my eyes during the climactic moments of long-running series, especially when they start playing the very first theme song from the first season, or when a group that's grown much bigger dwindles down to the core team that started it all, to sort of tie it all together and bring things full circle. It reminds me of how much I've been invested in it and it gives me the sense that it was all time, effort, and emotions well-spent.
Nope, but my eyes watered.
